Day of arrival, my wife had a migraine, and the host allowed us to check in early, which was a blessing. Tea, coffee, sugar, shower gel, shampoo, and conditioner all provided, couldn't ask for anything more. Strong wi-fi. Close to the train station for anyone travelling without a car.

This place is exceptional, I would award it more than 10! It is perfect in every way. The attention to detail is immaculate. Our room was beautifully decorated with lots of high tech details. The breakfast was first rate with good quality ingredients and a lovely fresh fruit salad. Our host was a delight; being very friendly and helpful.

I spent 2 nights here and absolutely loved it. I stayed in a room with a sea view, which was simply amazing – waking up to that view was a highlight of my trip. The Penellen guest accommodation is just a 2-minute walk from the beach, in a calm and stunning area. There’s a lovely café on the way to the beach and a great restaurant only 5 minutes away on foot. The room was clean, quiet, and very comfortable. The owner was really nice and helpful, making me feel welcome throughout my stay. I had a peaceful and relaxing experience, and I will definitely be coming back!

The place was lovely, if I could have that property where I live I'd be more than happy. Great location (do need a car to get places but that's fine) nice quiet location, the 2 bathrooms and extra toilet were perfect the place itself was brilliant and I'd definitely stay there again without query. The shower pressures were awesome and no problems with hot water and the heating easy to navigate. Would recommend for sure.

Hayle is a post-industrial town and so it does not have the charm of other Cornish seaside towns. It thrived as a port exporting tin and copper from local mines. It has significant industrial ruins, with a rail bridge built by Brunel. These add interest to a visit. It does have a long, sandy beach, beyond the Towans (dunes) and a riverside park. The estuary is popular with bird watchers. It has an Asda superstore as well as many small shops, pubs and restaurants. Lidl and Marks and Spencer are on the A30. It is in proximity to Carbis Bay, St Ives and Gwythian, which are a short car journey away or can be accessed by public transport. It is also possible to walk to St Ives and catch the train back.

Hayle means you're down in Cornwall.

Hayle means you're down in Cornwall. Youre not by the madness of the busy resorts like St. Ives, Newquay, Penzance. It's much quieter, but very accessible to those places. Regular buses and the train right there. Im a regular visitor to Hayle, so may be prejudiced, but I also don't like crowds, so for me its the best of both worlds.

Easily one of the best beaches we've been to in the UK.

Easily one of the best beaches we've been to in the UK. Everyone seemed friendly and there's a nice mix of restaurants and shops. Not loads, but a quieter town was what we were looking for. Close to St Ives but such a gem in its own right. Salt restaurant serves the best brisket burgers and everything seemed an easy walk from the train station if you don't fancy driving.
