Lovely quiet, clean, isolated retreat at a country club with a fridge and free parking. Breakfast was included and the dinner menu was very good with reasonable prices. We had dinner there 3 nights in a row. Close to Sissinghurst, Leeds, Maidstone and Rye - it was a nice place to stay for a few days. The staff was great!

Beautiful setting and building Friendly welcoming staff I received a free upgrade which meant I got to stay in the main house. I saw a cosy lounge area for afternoon tea. Beautiful grand staircase. Festive decorations made it really warm and cosy. Attended a party in the stable area. Perfect for a sit down meal for around 60 people. Food was fantastic and hot. Service was excellent Late checkout is 11am which leaves time to enjoy the breakfast from a menu. Not by buffet style. Highly recommend.

Absolutely lovely place. The staff was friendly, and the rooms were much nicer than we actually expected; spatious and completely equipped. The castle itself is a worthwhile attraction, and so are the garden and environs. While it may seem isolated from the rest of Kent, a taxi or bus ride can get you to Maidstone or Ashford, and from there you are free to do any day trips to Canterbury, Dungeness or London. And the breakfast was amazing!

    Very nice surroundings, basic room for 1 night. Value for money. We stay in the second build behind, plenty of parking. Only for us it was let down for breakfast, we stay over during bank holiday and it was business. We decided to have breakfast. They were juat not ready for the amount of people that were having breakfast, bless the 2 staff who had to run the floor, trying to clean table and refill the cups and breakfast.they ran out if food how to wait,

    Being only a few miles from Ashford and a 40 minute drive to...

    Being only a few miles from Ashford and a 40 minute drive to Rye, it is ideally located for exploring Kent & East Sussex. The accommodation was roomy, spotlessly clean with a large very comfy bed. Our room had a large bath and shower. Lovely Food is available throughout the day and evening. Plenty of car parking space. If you like golf, this place would be hard to beat. There’s even a local aerodrome nearby if you want a cup of coffee watching the comings and goings

    Characterful bijou Shepherds Hut in private spot at end of garden in lovely rural setting. Ideal location for me very close to Headcorn airstrip. Snug accommodation exactly as described. Neat shower , good water pressure & hot water. Breakfast delivered to hut (cereals, croissant, fruit yoghurt, cheese, bread for toasting, fruit juice) ideal for circumstances. Small microwave usefully provided if you want hot meals (Supermarket a couple of miles away). Helpfully arranged early check-in .

    Plenty of parking. Food was very good for dinner and breakfast, and from the dining room you could see the golfers getting wet! To be honest, previously, as I am a non golfer, the thought of staying in a hotel with surrounded by a golf course did not seem appealing, but having now stayed here, I have changed my mind on that point. Though on a busyish road, there are quiet lanes to walk or run along nearby.
