My partner and I had a terrific time in the showman's wagon. Great comms beforehand, a friendly welcome when we arrived, and some lovely touches such as almond/oat millk in the fridge (we're vegans), a posy of freshly picked flowers on the table, and even a surprise bottle of fizz because we were both celebrating birthdays during our stay. We loved listening to the barn owls and tawnies and enjoyed the peace and quiet of the garden setting. Would very much recommend.

Our pod was so cute, warm & welcoming for our w.e break! It had everything we needed & the beds & bedding were so snug! We also had our own immaculate bathroom a short stroll away. The site and utilities are very well organised. Tim, the owner was very friendly and hospitable. Lynda, the campsite manager was equally lovely. Beautiful room, lovely views and powerful shower with a well appointed bathroom. Great to have homemade jams with breakfast and an endless supply of tea! Lovely to sit down and have a chat with the owner, thank for making me feel so welcome Natalie. It’s proximity to Batemans for a Rudyard Kipling immersion is worth a stay alone.

The breakfast was wonderful, plentiful, and lots of choice in a lovely sunroom. The hotel is set in a grand, picturesque location surrounded by fields within which is a lake, Beds are very comfortable with French doors opening onto a patio, looking across the fields. An 14th century church is in walking distance, and pleasant walks in the nearby wooded areas. Lovely part of the world, real England.

I absolutely enjoyed this location and the farm vibe. I could walk thru the fields to my brothers place in Herstmonceux village in 10 mins easy walk.
