I couldn't believe how friendly and welcoming the staff were! And the food: Breakfast and Dinner was superb. Also, great rural walks around Hinxton using designated pathways.

It's been our second stay at Fly By and we are going to be back! Everything was perfect - Wendy and Steve are very kind, the room has all the facilities we might need, the garden is beautiful and we made acquaintance with wood pigeons, robins and blackbirds. When we got to Fly By, our room not only was perfectly clean and ready for us - there was also a super cute bunch of fresh flowers in a bowl. That was such a sweet gesture which made us really feel welcome. In addition, Duxford itself is very picturesque and the local people are very nice. All in all, we heartily recommend this place.

    This was ideal for what we needed, we were attending a...

    This was ideal for what we needed, we were attending a concert at the nearby Audsley End Hall & Gardens. By taxi it was about a 10 minute journey , you can book Uber yourself, but remember they are more expensive later in the evenings. The reception has local taxi numbers, but again they are also quite expensive. If you are using your own car to go anywhere , the site is very secure and you have ample parking space. The grounds are lovely so you can have a nice walk , and the facilities are great. There are a couple of bars and the main dining room is lovely. The rooms are spacious and modern. Huge Beds that are really comfy.

    Lovely rooms, peaceful surroundings, a good breakfast, and friendly staff. Good place for quality time together. A piece of paradise tucked away in outskirts of essex. Has had and homemade pizzas on offer, or local pub, within walking distance does meals.

    Set in beautiful grounds BUT spread out so be prepared to walk, you have to park in the designated area then walk to reception and then to your accommodation with your bags. Our room was extremely hot and we had to keep a fan going all night as well as the curtains open which meant a security light shining in! I slept poorly and my husband not at all. We met someone in the car park after checking out, who had booked a room with air con - if I’d known I’d have requested a move. The weather was in the low 20s so warm but certainly not hot.

    The hotel was amazing, and I could not fault the service at all. If I am in the area again I would have no hesitation in using it again. It was so quiet, with beautiful accommodation and grounds. Far exceeded my expectations in all respects. The staff I saw were very friendly, helpful and informative. Breakfast was also very good.

    Staff very friendly and helpful, nothing too much trouble. Room was a good size with plenty of cupboard space, tea & coffee facilities in the room well stocked. Breakfast was excellent & the grounds in which the hotel was set was absolutely stunning.

    Hinxton is a very pretty village and worth exploring. The pub was very cosy, with delicious food but small portions. The range of real ale was quite limited, but tasty. I liked the pub and staff.
