Breakfast was basic continental: cereal, toast, a croissant on one day, yogurt. Fine. There's as restaurant too, that does mainly fish and chips, that sort of thing. Not gourmet, but cheap and pleasant. The location was fine--Talgarth is a very small town, and you could easily walk anywhere from the hotel. It's on a somewhat busy road, but at night it's very quiet. The owners, twin brothers, are exceptionally helpful and friendly. Obviously at this price you don't expect luxury--but it's quite excellent value. I would certainly return.

Everything was perfect, it looks better than in the photos. Jos is an absolute pro, the one thing we didn't have in the cottage was a corkscrew which he dropped off on our doorstep. Booking.com needs an 11th star for properties like this, one of the nicest places we've ever stayed in 💯

An exceptional B&B in a great location for the Black Mountains and Hay on Wye. We had fantastic friendly hosts. The breakfast was delicious and we particularly enjoyed relaxing by the water with some home made brownie.
