This is a beautifully decorated and extremely well-managed bed and breakfast overlooking the bay. We arrived after spending a week in budget hotels while on a group tour, so really enjoyed the spaciousness of our front-facing room, as well as the thoughtful amenities. The breakfast was the best we had during nearly a month of traveling through the UK. Bonus: it’s a dog-friendly hotel, and while we didn’t have a dog with us, we enjoyed interacting with the seven canines staying there, and their humans. Wish we had booked a longer stay!

The room was perfect, located in a charming historical building with plenty of personal touches. It was clean, and the curtained bed added a fun element. There was a tea maker in the room as well, providing everything one might need. The breakfast was also excellent, with gluten-free options available.

FAQs about hotels in Llandudno

Victorian Resort with a Welsh Twist

The most popular Wales seaside resort, Llandudno covers a peninsula with 2 sandy coastlines. The North Shore’s wide Victorian promenade is lined with period buildings which now house seafront hotels and guest houses. The beach itself stretches all the way between the Little Orme and Great Orme headlands, passing an outdoor swimming pool.

A historic tram climbs to the peak of Great Orme, where Bronze Age copper mines can be visited. The top is also reachable by cable car from Happy Valley, a recreation area with gardens and an artificial ski slope.

A road runs around the base of the headland passing the historic Grand Hotel, a property available on Booking.com and overlooking the Grade II-listed pier – the longest in Wales. The West Shore is much less developed and the Maesdu Golf Course forms most of its shoreline.

Of course, Llandudno has its fair share of traditional seaside pursuits such as donkey rides and fish and chip shops.

The town also has a modern retail park near the train station and Venue Cymru event centre, and wrought-iron canopies shade smaller shops along Mostyn Avenue, Broadway and Street. The latter - Mostyn Street - is effectively the high street and becomes brightly decorated during the Victorian carnival in May.

    Lovely clean seaside town.

Lovely clean seaside town. Long flat promenade for buggies and wheelchairs along the sea front but beware of the seagulls if eating near pier. Plenty of cafe’s in town. Many bars with entertainment. Magic bar great for all the family. Great place to visit for couple days.

The mix of visitors has changed dramatically for the worse.

The mix of visitors has changed dramatically for the worse. They don't seem to want the old school charm of Llandudno. They're not looking for quality anything, just the cheapest possible and they're dragging the quality of Llandudno down to their level. Llandudno needs to to raise it's standards.

Lovely traditional sea side town with something for everyone. Lots of historic attractions nearby, many activities for adrenal junkies and quiet parks and promenades for a quiet break. Many great places to eat, the Thai food at Wok and Roll is fantastic. Clean beaches for the kids to play on, many ice cream shops and of course the rides/amusements on the pier.

Beautiful to visit we took the bus up the orme on the first day and the second day we walked it took 3 half hours at the top was fantastic views of the mountains. We also visited the local flea Market that was very interesting and lovely people we met there and we picked up a couple of keep sakes. Plenty of places to eat especially fish and chips we went to Seymour cafe and the fish and chips where delicious and they even done curry sauce which my son was made up with.

Comfortable, spacious and clean. Close to both main promenade and also West Shore. Dog friendly as well. Bed very comfortable and the bedroom is a great size. We were able to park directly outside the apartment which was helpful. Communication from the owner was good with any questions answered promptly. Have stayed in some fab hotels in Llandudno ..St George's, The Merrion, The Imperial to name a few however in terms of value for money - this apartment is great especially when you compare it against what else you could get for that price.
