I arrived quite late and the night porter was simply amazing, so helpful and informative. People make the difference in any organisation large or small. I think his name was Dinu, originally from Romania.

Excellent town with restaurants/pub’s etc and Sunday market/festival, great base for exploring the Cotswolds. Didn’t really know anything about the place before going, rich in history, the Abbey was well worth the visit. Special shoutout to The Greyhound, recently converted pub to Brassiere, food and service/staff highly recommended

The cottage is very cute, the location was great short drive into Bath Which was our main purpose. Sadly I left 2 shirts in the wardrobe but the owner's posted them on to our address at the end of July thanks for going the extra mile. The history of Malmesbury was an added bonus the pizza place nearby was great. If I return to the UK I will certainly book this again.

An old market town with all the necessary features for a short stay. Interesting historic buildings and a definite 'country town' feel. A good centre to explore the southern Cotswolds - probably less well known than the busier Northern sector

This was our first visit to Malmesbury and we fell in love with it. It has some excellent shops and some fantastic places to eat. The beer at the Whole Hog was great and the food really good, the staff are very friendly and attentive. It has a great small market on a Friday. The Abbey and museum are well worth a visit and the people are so friendly and helpful. It was a great location to travel from to discover the surrounding areas.

Pretty town and the Abbey is wonderful.

Pretty town and the Abbey is wonderful. Everyone we met in shops, cafes and the street etc. were delightful and very friendly - and obviously proud of their town and all praised the community spirit. A very warm and welcoming atmosphere - and they should be proud. (Quite difficult to buy a Guardian newspaper though!) Only one night stay so never really found the best eateries - although the 'taster' menu near the Abbey looked wonderful!

    Stunning architecture and beautiful sandstone.

Stunning architecture and beautiful sandstone. All the loveliness of the cotswolds without the crowds. VERY interesting historically and lots of information at the tourist office. It is very rewarding to walk around both the town and the adjacent countryside. The town is full of exciting little passageways and tantalising views and the river walks have much wildlife to enjoy. And if you WANT to tear yourself away it's within easy driving distance of many other fascinating places.

Stayed overnight for an offsite wedding, so didn't really get full use of the Hotel. Room was very comfortable, with good amenities and a great shower. Also nice to have a fan, if only for white noise, though it was quiet anyway. Bright, dramatic furnishings throughout.
