Although the main purpose of this trip was to go to St Kilda because the cruise was canceled due to weather conditions, staying in Rody and Carolanne's warm and homely house reduced my disappointment. Not only is the location, a 5-minute walk from the station, but the newly renovated rooms are well-equipped and tasteful. Carollanne also took me to Tarbert and the Rodel church. She was the perfect hostess. Rody's cooking skills are truly incredible. I was so touched to be able to have such a dinner in this small fishing village without restaurants. If I have the chance to come back, I will definitely stay here again.

The place was absolutely heartwarming and exceeded all my expectations. I wasn’t expecting much when booking just an overnight stay, but we got a lovely, cozy cottage with a sea view. Everything we needed was there. Charming, friendly sheep outside the window and a double rainbow as a gift. Truly special!

A very warm and confortable place, very well furnished, very well located. The fireplace is a must. The owners are very nice : we found fresh eggs and cakes when we arrived.

We tremendously enjoyed staying at the Old Post Office, which is most likely the cleanest, the coziest and by far the best equipped holiday home we’ve ever stayed at. We loved the tranquility and the remoteness very much indeed and we greatly enjoyed the garden and the exceptional view from the wee entrance room (where we actually spent most of the time because of the view). What a silent wonderful place! We came so much into this rough and wonderful Harris Southeast. And we loved the beautifully designed inside there...And the cousine lives in the next house, and helps with what ever necessary, like the owners. Very happy week we had there.... Thank you!
