The grounds and buildings were very historic and quite neat to be in. We stayed for supper, which was fantastic and the breakfast the next morning was very good too. This is a great place to stay.

We highly rate the tidiness, size and cleanliness of the room. Breakfast was outstanding. They even got an awesome coffee machine. 10 out of 10. Love that they got the option to use the swimming pool and gym as well.

I found the room the most well equipped room than any hotel I have ever been to . The only exception would be a face cloth for washing. I’m Canadian and most of us use face wash cloths. No big deal I borrowed one from a Scottish friend of mine.

The entire facility is just lovely overall and the rooms are noticeably bigger than most of what we had in our travels throughout Scotland. The service personnel in particular were extremely kind, well mannered and polite.

I booked last minute on the day, for one night after a change of plans. We spent another night nearby, and if I'd known how nice Maryculter was, I would definitely have stayed both nights. Fantastic hotel, really friendly staff, great location.

Some of the hotel was very smart and as per the photos on booking.com. Our room was very small in comparison to the photos on the website, and the decor was not of the same standard. I definitely wouldn't call it "delux". However it was pleasant and good value for the £80 we paid (incl breakfast). I'm not sure what the suites on the photos are specified as if our room was delux.

The hotel was in a lovely situation on the river Dee. We had a ground floor suite with patio doors & little table & chairs outside. The staff were all very helpful and meals delicious. Autumn colours are superb and lots of NTS properties close by. We visited Crathes castle and drum castle and also Dunotter castle and Stonehaven.
