Melvin is a small village, with fantastic views over the sea, towards the Orkneys. It has a small local shop with a wide range of food, including prepacked meat from a local butcher, fresh milk and selection of frozen food. Also a hotel which apparently had takeaway pizzas, and a coffee hut.
