The property provided everything you need and more, very clean and very comfortable, easy to find, easy access and instructions were easy to follow. Car park was very helpful too. Local pubs, restaurants and shops very accommodating and friendly. We love Cornwall and we love Mevagissey, been coming for over 50 years (we have family here too) Easy to drive around (everything is well sign posted) just be aware of the narrow bendy roads. Would recommend the Polkirt Forge for a comfortable stay. Thank you from the Budd-King Party from Peterborough.

Perfectly restored monumental house. Tastefully decorated. One of the most beautifull places we’ve ever stayed. The location is ideal, in the center of the historic harbor. Both our elder children (17, 20), the younger one (9) and grandma (84) enjoyed the pittoresque village Mevagissy: nice walks over the hills (not too complicated), daily fishing trips available, ferry to the next village and some nice family pubs and shops in walking distance.

A magical place with a magical view Sep. 2023 • Couples A wonderful place to stay on a magical Cornish village. Susie and her family made us feel very welcome in her home with guest rooms having the most extraordinary view of the village, harbour and cliffs beyond. The room was very comfortable; parking easy and the extensive breakfast was never ending. Some great cooked choices and diverse fruits, cereals, yoghurts etc. loved chatting about travel and living abroad with our hosts and iust wished we had booked for a few W days longer. We will return

Although Mevagissey is very hilly, the harbour and village are lovely. There are plenty of good restaurants and cafes plus some really nice independent shops. The harbour with the fishing boats is very picturesque and the Sharksfin restaurant overlooks it. Good food and good service. We also loved the atmosphere in the Fountain Inn very much a local pub with good food. Mevagissey is still a working harbour and there are lots of locals as well as tourists which is good to see. The people are friendly and welcoming. Out of season, parking isn't a problem but probable during the summer months it might be difficult. We were only there for four nights so lots more places to eat, things to do and local places to visit. It is definitely somewhere you could easily spend a week.

The location is amazing, the hosting was the perfect mix of respecting our space and being there if ever required and the Cranny room is beautiful! It's close to some built up areas while also being beautifully secluded, you're 10-15 minutes away from some wonderful beaches and within drivable distance to everything else in Cornwall. 100% worth a visit and there is a good chance we will be back!
