Marvellous When we left we asked for a doggy bag of our dinner consisting of meat on bones. When we got home to our amazement and pleasure there were no bones. Incredible service

One of the best hotels ever! It’s conveniently located near the motorway. Rooms are big, beds are super comfortable and large, all is spotless. There’s also a lovely fitness room. Breakfast is delicious (some of the best pastries ever). It’s REALLY pet friendly. Most of all, I have to say, we loved the staff. Each of them was incredibly and sincerely kind with us and our dog. The guys at the reception: amazing and it was a pleasure to have a chat with. The true gentleman in the breakfast room always smiling and supportive. It all felt like home. Way to go, guys! You made our whole stay simply beautiful. Thanks to you all!

The staff were so polite and accommodating and a large deciding factor in booking again. The bar keeper was hilarious and made me the best baby Guinness. The live entertainment was one of the most talented singers I've heard in years. The hotel had a lovely atmosphere, I was welcomed warmly upon arrival and this set the standard which was never broken. ,The room was clean and well kept and excellent value for money. I'm a stickler for a clean room and couldn't find fault at all. The breakfast was delightful with a large variety and I'm pleased to say I will definitely stay again.

I was in Pangbourne for a family event rather than to explore the town itself, but it made a great base. If you’re visiting from abroad or elsewhere in the UK, it’s ideally located – close to London for easy access, and just minutes from Reading, where you’ll find all the big shops, supermarkets, and anything else you might need. The town itself is charming and quintessentially British, with pretty cottages, lovely countryside, cosy pubs, and a nice selection of local shops and dining options. It would make a perfect peaceful base for visiting nearby places like Windsor, London, Reading, or even Stonehenge and Salisbury, which are just over an hour away.

Interesting place, will go back. Got to swim in the Thames, see the churches, go to Whitchurch, walk along the Thames. Visit Goring. It's a fantastic place for a couple of nights. There is a canoe club and also it's a good place to cycle in.

Pangbourne is surrounded by loverly woods and the River Thames runs close by. The traffic during the day is very heavy and makes walking around the town unpleasant. Oddly there are no pubs on the river. There are som nice walks by the river.

Pangbourne’s become seedy looking, with very few real shops left. All the pubs were either closed to non residents, or closed around 9.00 pm ish; all, except The Swan, we’re closed all Sunday evening! The high street is very noisy and stinks of fumes.

It’s only small village which is gorgeous and full of character. There’s only a few places to book to stay overnight. The George was dirty and badly needs some tlc! Didn’t use the romantic bath for 2 in the honeymoon suite because of the mould around the bath. So wasn’t the special romantic stay we hoped for atal

Room was clean and reasonably priced, and the location was great for Pangbourne village centre and just a few minutes drive from Basildon Park, a beautiful National Trust property. Staff were friendly and helpful, ensuring I could dine just minutes before the kitchen stopped serving, which was much appreciated. The front desk attendant even brought my key to my table at the restaurant after I had forgotten to collect it upon check in.

Perfect location for a family get together to visit our son who lives in the area. Pangbourne is a lovely village on the Thames with plenty of places to eat and drink within a 15 minute walk of the house either along the road or across fields. House had plenty of room for 3 generations of family and lovely large garden. The property is well set back from the road with ample of parking for several vehicles.
