The hotel has a lovely 'feel' to it, like you're in a large country house, not a standard nondescript hotel, with some big old, solid wooden furniture in the room. It was very relaxing to sit out in the garden by the pond. The breakfasts were lovely too. We'll definitely go back!

It has been recently modernised to a high standard and had everything that we needed for a more than comfortable stay. It’s only 20 mins from Saundersfoot and Tenby so close enough location wise and in a lovely quiet area. Any questions we had whilst we were there were quickly answered by the very helpful Friendly host. Nothing was too much trouble and we were even given lots of helpful information about the area, places to eat etc prior to arriving. When we arrived there was complimentary tea/coffee/milk and even a bottle of wine for us and gluten free biscuits for our daughter. The small things really make a difference - thank you! ☺️ We’re looking forward to returning in the summer.

We were very pleased to find that our host had left us condiments, milk, tea and coffee and even eggs and bacon. To top it all she left us a bottle of wine. The accommodation was perfect - we could not have asked for anything more.

A newly renovated property, well located in the quiet village of Lamphey about midway between Tenby and Pembroke and in walking distance of a well rated pub/restaurant. We found the cottage well appointed and spotlessly clean on arrival.

Great for exploring with the right amount of facilities...

Great for exploring with the right amount of facilities within the town that is steeped in history what with the magnificent Pembrokeshire countryside as well as the Castle and walk along the Mill Pond to it. The castle itself has a really good cafe and is a great way to spend a few hours learning about such a historical fortress that has many exhibits to demonstrate its significance in British history. The new building under construction immediately next to the castle that is to house a library and cafe etc looks likely to be a great addition to this highly prised historical wonder. A credit to those that are its current guardian.

A lush fish and chips restaurant, a Chinese and an Indian...

A lush fish and chips restaurant, a Chinese and an Indian with plenty of pubs. There is one pub which has amplifiers and a drum kit for a full band so if you want to become a star...this could be your chance. Whatever you do, don't miss Cafe Rose, wonderful food and service. Taking back a few gifts? There is a fabulous grocery and treat store which we visit every time we are in Pembroke, and this time it was a carrot cake for my mate Captain Haddock who spends the summer in Angle. You shouldn't miss the castle, although my legs can no longer manage the large main tower I can still remember the fabulous view from the top. Pembrokes main asset, however is people, always love a chat and will help you out if you should get lost!!!

The town is very historic but not extensive.

The town is very historic but not extensive. The medieval castle, birthplace of Henry VII, is splendid and dominant. Beyond it is Pembroke Dock (from 1815) which has a very interesting museum, especially for WWII history. Tourist services are somewhat limited as the information bureau is provided as a side-line by the library and it is not easy to find out about cultural events such as concerts and art exhibitions. There are good options for eating out but booking is advisable. The beaches and coastal walks are gorgeous. The only drawback is the large military training area that must be skirted and from which the noises of exercises are evident most days.

There are a number of pubs, a chipshop, Chinese and Indian, so plenty of choice if you want to eat out. The castle gives a beautiful backdrop and there are some nice flat walks along the river if tou can't manage the little hill or have littleones with you. It's within an easy drive of dozens of beautiful beaches and an excellent base to explore the south West of Wales.

The welcome was warm, service was friendly and personal. Excellent choice of food for breakfast and dinner. Food was exceptional, the best hotel breakfast I have ever been served. The dinner menu was beautifully presented and tasty. One complaint, the portions were huge 😃 Rooms were clean and well appointed. Fabulous shower. All in all the perfect choice of base for a weekend walking the Wales Coastal Path.

Well equipped, cosy apartment. Easy walk to the town, lots of amenities. Pembroke is a perfect stop for touring all the lovely places in the area, beaches, coastal walks etc. View of the castle and ponds from the living room window, saw an otter on the pond before getting dressed one morning! Lovely hosts, excellent communication. We were return visitors and I expect we will go back.
