The hotel staff and service was first rate, everyone was friendly helpful and professional and very welcoming. The room was lovely, well designed spotless and the attention to every detail to make for a comfortable stay. I loved the bed sheets and the bath robe, so soft! The spa was great, very quite clean and well kept, the "sent" room is a must visit. The grounds are beautiful and you have very easy access to the town.

This is a place I would not have chosen to visit if not for this family wedding. But now I would highly recommend Pitlochry as a very friendly town with lots to do. Excellent food and central to a wide variety of walks. Hikes and hill walking.

Pitlochry is a delightful town with a lot of Victorian architecture, many excellent places to eat and interesting shops to browse. It is a good launching point to see several interesting sites and the Pitlochry Festival Theatre is excellent. We ate at Port na’Craig restaurant and MacKay’s Fish and Chips; two extremes of cuisine but both were delicious. Try the Orange Wine at Port na’Craig.

A great place to use as a base to explore the area around it. All amenities are provided and geared up for visitors. Very busy when I visited, and I found the eateries very expensive. Glad I was self-catering.

    One of my favourite places.

One of my favourite places. This time I wanted to have two experiences I had never had there before: a walk round one of the local trails and the Pitlochry Festival Theatre. The walk was wonderful - perfect walking weather (some sunshine, not too hot). I saw The Great Gatsby at the Festival Theatre. The theatre is beautifully located and I can recommend the Port-na-Craig restaurant nearby - next to the river and great food. There is a lot to see round about with Loch Tummel and Queen's View especial additional highlights from previous visits.

The Pitlochry Hydro Hotel is an excellent place if you are looking for a few days relaxing break as I was. Although the hotel is old, the decor is lovely. The hotel lounge area is very spacious. The rooms are very spacious with plenty of accessories, hairdryer shampoo and luxury soaps. The pool and sauna are a must on your visit. All of the staff were very welcoming and helpful. The views from the upper floor rooms are breathtaking.

The setting was lovely with views down the valley and a large expansive garden to walk around. It was both within Pitlochry, so handy for shopping, but also quiet and peaceful. The staff were friendly and the breakfast had table service and the meal enjoyable. We plan to use this hotel again if we go to Pitlochry for a break. We slept well and left relaxed so for us that ticks an important box.
