Pitlochry is a delightful town with a lot of Victorian architecture, many excellent places to eat and interesting shops to browse. It is a good launching point to see several interesting sites and the Pitlochry Festival Theatre is excellent. One of my favourite places.
One of my favourite places. This time I wanted to have two experiences I had never had there before: a walk round one of the local trails and the Pitlochry Festival Theatre. The walk was wonderful - perfect walking weather (some sunshine, not too hot). I saw The Great Gatsby at the Festival Theatre. The theatre is beautifully located and I can recommend the Port-na-Craig restaurant nearby - next to the river and great food. Although the hotel is old, the decor is lovely. The hotel lounge area is very spacious. The rooms are very spacious with plenty of accessories, hairdryer shampoo and luxury soaps.
