A very nice location with great views.
A very nice location with great views. It is out in the countryside and offers tranquility and peace and an ideal quiet getaway. Small village nestled in a valley. Bus stop on main road. Cambrian Way passes through village with access to the beautiful Pumlumon Fach and Fawr with some great views towards Nant y Moch reservoir and beyond in a clear day. A 5km walk away via Banc Creignant Mawr woods is the Nant y Arian visitor centre and feeding site for Red Kites well worth a visit (2pm winter, 3pm summer feeding times). Local pub The George Barrow does very good meals and is run by lovely and friendly people. The hotel is lovely and our room was very comfortable. We stayed for two nights and the breakfasts were excellent and also the evening meal was exceptional especially our rump steaks that were cooked to our preference. A really enjoyable evening.
