What is there not to like about this property . Sensational views in an amazing tranquil Setting. The attention to detail was amazing with every need catered for and beyond. The quality of the food at the a la carte breakfast and Dinner was exceptional, from the home made breads to locally sourced organic produce, the flavours were incredible . From The lodge it is only a 30 minute walk along the wonderful white rocks beach taking you to the centre of Portrush. . What stood out the most was the staff . Everyone went above and beyond to make you feel welcome from the chauffeur service in and out of town, to the bar, room and restaurant staff. A real hotel with real people who genuinely and heartfelty care about their customers….

We stayed here on our wedding night and were very impressed! We actually came in the day before to find out about how check in would work on the wedding day and the local woman at the desk was so incredibly friendly and made us feel like nothing was too much hassle. The night porter when we arrived on our wedding night was also lovely, and he helped us with anything we needed. The hotel itself is beautifully decorated with a real classic charm. The room was spacious and clean but still cosy, and the staff even left us a little gift to congratulate us on our wedding! The bed was large and comfortable. High quality toiletries really added to the experience as well as comfy robes and slippers. At breakfast, allergies were paid attention to and alternatives offered. Very nice!

Portrush is a typical old fashioned seaside resort but with the addition of now some more upmarket restaurants and more high end accommodation, but at least the old amusement fare is still there on the beach which I remember from my childhood pure nostalgia. Stayed at the Inn on the Coast around £159 per night including Breakfast but we did have our dog with with us which was a additional £30 per night, pretty good value in high season

Got what we are used to and want from Portrush, always love a break up here. I know there is a few new luxury hotels which are great but don't miss out on the good old bars and hotels like the harbour bar, quays, station bar, kiwi bar n restaurant and the port hotel - it's a great atmosphere the staff are great and the food and sport is great as well.

Being down beside the beaches in Portrush is brilliant. Two beaches both brilliant, there are other things to go and see like Dunluce Castle would be better if they had easier ways to get to them from Portrush.

The town itself was absolutely heaving with tourists. Traffic was nose to tail every day trying to get to car parks. The amusement area I would definitely give a miss, unless that is your thing, as it was extremely crowded.

As a 'local' I've been coming here since the 1960s and watched it decline into a race-track of noisy cars with revving engines and loud exhausts, dog excrement-strewn streets, and unbelievably expensive facilities. (£4.75 for a bar of chocolate that's £1.50 in Tescos?) There are still good parts, and they should be praised for continuing to provide a good service, but in too many areas it's derelict buildings, rubbish-strewn back alleys, and a real money-trap. The weekend 'parade' of young people in loud modified cars really spoils the streets and their revving will keep you up all night no matter how good your hotel windows.

Plan well, Antrim coast road late eveing was great. Carrick De Rede and Giants Causeway was done the same day, well early hours and straight after one another.W e then went to Benevenagh, just pass Port Stewart, turn off on the Bishops Road, the road climbs high up, looking down over Derry and the estuary “River Foyle”.
