For such a large place it felt really homely and very comfortable The staff were very welcoming. There was a great atmosphere in the main rooms. My room while not a sea view was still really great as the large windows let in plenty of light, And windows that could be opened more than 3 inches, bedroom (double )very spacious nicely decorated and comfy, Not over stuffed with furniture the bathroom was lovely, nicely decorated and equipped again with another great window.

Ramsgate is a delightful seaside town.

Ramsgate is a delightful seaside town. The harbour area is fab to wander around, the beach is wide and roomy, plus it was easy to walk along the beach / broadwalk to Broadstairs which is also a gorgeous town to visit (where we watched a band play on the band stand and played crazy golf). A perfect place for a long weekend on the British seaside.

Parts very run down. But others bright and a lovely walk along the cliff promenade.A very good Pub at the harbour pavilion does excellent breakfasts and has a lot of family friendly facilities. Really good bus service going in a loop and also a open top bus for that extra thrill!

Loved the beaches and the old beachfront landscaping and architecture, relics of the Regency era, including Pulhamite rocks, which was something new for me (fake rocks!). The sandy beaches were charming, and each beach nearby feels different. Also love the chalk stacks and cliffs - it's all very beautiful. Not as run-down as I was anticipating. Thank you Ramsgate.

Best Wetherspoons I've ever been in, sitting out on the terrace overlooking the sea, order from table via app, food and drinks very reasonable. Aperol Spritz £5! Then amazing seafood dinner, oysters, crab and mussels.. exceptional. Even managed a day on the beach and a swim, would definitely revisit.

The harbour is lovely with a lot of history attached to it, lots of boats to see that have special meaning to Ramsgate being one of the Cinque ports. The old railway tunnel is a special place, owing to its use in WW11. You can easily get around the Harbour or town on foot or use the 'Loop'. Lots of old buildings that famous people have visited hence Blue plaques in place.

Favourite area along by the harbour , good for a stroll and plenty of places to stop for drinks and food. There are boat trips available on certain dates - check ahead to plan your visit. West and East cliff worth exploring as they offer lovely sandy stretches of beach which are quieter.
