Private hot tub just outside the room overlooking the field. We overlooked the sunset, then once it got dark and turned the garden lights off, we were enveloped by a starry sky. I saw a shooting star! it was just incredible. Moody room with dimmable lighting throughout was so nice, the best decor I've ever seen in British accommodation. Proximity to the restaurant. We wanted somewhere with a hot tub but not self-catered and not a driving distance to a restaurant. the restaurant was a few seconds walk away from our room. Just perfect! We spent most of our stay in the hot tub and it was so relaxing. The hot tub was ready to go in and was very clean! Optimal temp too. Complemented the cold February air very well.

Our hostess was excellent, very welcoming and warm. She was not at all intrusive, creating a relaxed, comfortable atmosphere. The food is excellent. We would definitely stay here again and recommend this lovely B&B

    Amazing accommodation! Very spacious and light.

    Amazing accommodation! Very spacious and light. Well designed with a modern kitchen area whilst retaining old beams and walls in the bedrooms. Comfortable seating areas and a separate lounge with a wood burner which was very cozy. All bedrooms were en-suite and beds were so comfortable. Showers were fabulous and powerful. The accommodation is in a peaceful location in a lovely village and only a very short walk to the Rose and Crown hotel where we ate one night. Food was excellent and would recommend. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Stables and would definitely return.

    Great value dog friendly cosy ground floor flat with garden in a peaceful location in small village. Had all we needed and lovely touch of milk and juice in fridge on arrival. Bath and shower with excellent hot water, great after days walking. Dog friendly pub doing food few minutes walk away. Short drive to Barnard Castle and High Force etc. Public footpaths near by for walks.

    Beautiful apartment situated in the picturesque village of Romaldkirk. It had everything we needed and was very comfortable. Perfectly situated for exploring the surrounding area. Would definitely stay here again.
