The view was exceptional, the home well-appointed and tastefully decorated. Everything worked. We were warned about the parking which is away from the property due to the very small roads with no parking at the property so this was not a problem. It was a very comfortable home away from home. St Mawes was the prettiest town we visited in Cornwall and we were thrilled with our choice.

The hotel is comfortable and homey. The location is a 10 minute drive outside of town, but a lovely quiet area. The view was spectacular. Our room was a good size, nice decor, very comfortable bed. The bathroom was roomy, clean and had a luxurious feel. The dining room, where we had breakfast, was spacious and nicely decorated. The food choices were varied and everything was delicious.

St Mawes was a lovely village with a nice blend of shops, pubs and hotels. Great views and a dog friendly harbour beach. We walked around St Mawes, driving not so easy. The whole area is beautiful

Lovely area but as it is on a peninsular long drive to get anywhere else. Ferry to Falmouth very convenient tho. Huge council car park nearby and we bought a 7 day ticket for £35. Most places under staffed in June 2024. We were on b&b in hotel but options for eating elsewhere limited and expensive. But local fish and chips brilliant.

Excellent place to stay and in easy reach and/or driveable distance to features such as tropical gardens and a nice exploratory walk through the wooded gardens leading to the beach. Also. a visit to the only city in Cornwalll, Truro was interesting with many features. One visit we made was to to a Gold Mine Centre called Togus and free of charge (no entry fee!) not far from Truro

The staff were very helpful and the room was probably one of the best we have ever had in an hotel, absolutely fabulous. Dinner in the dinning room was OK but not great. The menu was unimaginative and a little expensive for what we had. It was a Sunday and my wife had the roast which was probably left over from lunch time and a little tired. I had mussels which could have been hotter. Other than hamburgers there didn't appear to be any fresh cooked meats available such as steak.

The room was small but the outlook over the harbour was wonderful, the plumbing in the room was unfinished but worked adequately. We tried to have the included breakfast but was very disappointed, so ate out ever morning. But we overall enjoyed our stay, the quirky ness of the hotel made up for the shortfall, great location!
