It's a lovely seaside town with the usual attractions such as boat trips, arcades and crazy golf. What I did think was good were the amount of public toilets, especially as we went during the peak time of August!! There are plenty of cafes and places to eat. Swanage is a lovely is a traditional seaside town, with a long safe, clean beach and promenade. The shops consist of lots of fish and chip shops, gift shops and the usual amusement arcade found in traditional seaside towns. It's a traditional resort, with all amenities, unspoiled by progress. Amusement arcades are kept to a minimum. The seagulls can be a menace, but we didn't lose chips or ice-cream. Only now my husband has trouble with his back so his mobility isn’t good so we would drive down to the beach and meet our family there. If he got to tired we would wait while they bought the car closer. But we love Swanage have been coming since 1988 twice a year with granddaughters now great grandson 15 mths old bought back lovely memories.Guest review byElaineUnited Kingdom
