Perfect. Best B&B i have ever seen. Perfect Location, very clean and the Room was exceptional with a lot of love and thought for the little details. Comfy bed. Great breakfast as well. Really liked Tarbert..would not hesitate to come again.

Absolutely everything you'd need! Plus stunning views of the harbour, great check in experience and overall communication, great breakfast (included in price), lovely athmosphere in the house, everything you need in the room and bathroom.     This was just an overnight stop on our way to Islay from...

    This was just an overnight stop on our way to Islay from Glasgow - we took an afternoon bus to Tarbert and got private transport to Kennakraig ferry terminal the morning after. The town was lovely, with a nice castle and a couple of good restaurants as well as a pub with plenty of whisky options. We might have even stayed a bit longer had we known it was such a lovely place.

    Tarbert was a location I needed to visit for my book project...

    Tarbert was a location I needed to visit for my book project. I had been here before. It is close to Saddell Abbey and Skipness Castle and the Tarbert Castle in town is worth the climb. Tarbert's history is also iinteresting.

    Ideal stop for Kennacraig ferry to Iskay.

    Ideal stop for Kennacraig ferry to Iskay. We were there with glorious sunshine so views of Tarbert habour were amazing, picture post card stuff. There are a few restaurants and pubs. The red herring restaurant seemed to be the local fish & chip takeaway, although it is a higher end seafood dining restaurant.

    Tarbert is still a traditional fishing village.

    Tarbert is still a traditional fishing village. Sadly the only bank has now closed and there are a few empty shops. But, there are some great restaurants and gift shops, beautiful scenery and this is perfect base to go sightseeing in the area. Perfect location to get away from it all and enjoy stunning scenery!

    Right on the harbour.

    Right on the harbour. A tidy town and plenty of places to eat. I dined at Cafe Ca'Dora and while not flash, it impressed me becasue they had plenty of staff and the meal came promptly. I liked it so much I had dessert.

    Lovely fishing village.

    Lovely fishing village. Have been going for years but not a lot of places to eat out. Ate out in the cafe but not your usual greasy spoon cafe. Food is great but closes at 5pm. Very easy to walk around.

    The situation in the harbour is fantastic. The room and bathroom is bigger than most hotel rooms. There was a slight problem with the toilet cistern. A spare part was required which couldn't be obtained immediately. Allan was very helpful and even offered a part refund, for what was not a major issue. Would stay again.

    We loved our stay at Anchor Hotel! Our room had a beautiful view over the habour. It was very clean, comfortable and the staff were very friendly. We could walk to dinner- a great place called Lullabelle’s on the foreshore. Short drive to Kennacraig ferry. Great breakfast too. Highly recommend!
