A delightful small market style town with a great selection...
A delightful small market style town with a great selection of high quality shops - from a Fine Food Farm Shop and fantastic cafe/bakery, through numerous great looking places to eat to a number of smart looking dress and gift shops. It has a lovely friendly feel to it. The Swan Hotel feels very much like a meeting-point for the community, with people dropping in for coffee/tea or the bar or the restaurant. Tarporley is not far from lovely countryside with walks along The Sandstone Trail, particularly Delamare Forest and a super pub called The Pheasant which has a map with local walks.Guest review byElaineUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Fabulous hotel and location. Rooms immaculately clean. 2 uncomfortable mattresses pushed together leaving a “valley “ in the middle. Tv didn’t pick up signal . Terrible WiFi . Room service never turned up after 2 phone calls I had to go downstairs myself. Breakfast passable but no one in charge , small portions, tea and coffee in flasks , no orange, no bowls, workman on ladder in middle of food area. Beautiful setting , good size room, comfy bed, swimming pool was nice, friendly staff. The town is beautiful and full of lovely boutique shops. There are convenient grocery shops, hairdressers and salons. There is also a post office and cash machine in the centre. Great location as we attended a wedding at Peckforton Castle which is nearby. We had a lovely meal in the village and then walked back to the cottage for the wedding party to get ready.
