A wonderful little gem right in the middle of Tewkesbury and a lovely mixture of old features and new. We loved the spacious living room (there was even Netflix available) and the cosy bedroom with a very comfortable bed. It was perfect for a six-day-stay as it's very central to all the shops and restaurants and yet private enough so there's no noise. The parking situation with a permit for the car park right behind the property was very convenient for us as well. Paul, our host, kept us well informed all the time and responded quickly to any questions we had. All in all we had a wonderful stay at the Fish Loft and are going to try to come back soon for another stay.

Lovely place to visit, The Abbey is a must, a walk around the back streets is recommended, so many old houses & buildings, I don't think any of them had a proper even roof , The walk along the river is lovely, some very nice coffee shops on the way, some over looking the river, so very leisurely, I would say the only downside we found was the amount of traffic on the main road , so make sue to use the crossings.

Having driven past Tewkesbury on the M5 more times than I care to recall, it was chosen as a geographical half way point for a meet up with friends. So impressed, I immediately returned for another visit with my wife. Tewkesbury is perhaps a hidden gem if interested in history. Countless historical and attractive buildings in the main streets; a good Battlefield walk (1471 - War of the Roses) across adjacent fields with information panels throughout and leaflet (£1) from Tourist Information office ; Beautiful Abbey; Riverside walks and pleasant boat trips; Museum and separate Heritage Centre, and a nature park for more walks, on the flood plain. Numerous cafes and places to eat. All above on, or easy walking from the centre itself. We were very impressed. Should have visited before.

We enjoy just wandering around the shops and particularly liked the Abbey. There were a few pubs that we enjoyed visiting as well. Beautiful walks across the river in the Ham, and good information about what we were seeing.

Tewkesbury has preserved and celebrates its history.

Tewkesbury has preserved and celebrates its history. The building are often centuries old and mixed together. None of that planning nonsense of whether new buildings fitted in; more of an attitude of it's your land: build what you like.

Loved the Abbey and its garden, did a lot of shopping in the time we had, met family in the The Royal Hop Pole, and was amazed at all the truly old buildings in good condition. The town seemed well cared for and busy.

Food was absolutely AMAZING. Not over priced either. Our compliments to the Chefs. We stayed at the Tewkesbury Hotel for our 25th anniversary, and we were so glad that we did. They didn't disappoint. We were given an upgrade, so had a room with a patio - it was just lovely. Thank you Tewkesbury Park, we would definitely return.

The Royal Hop Pole is located in the centre of Tewkesbury it has a decent size car park.which is useful as parking can be tricky in the town centre, It has friendly staff, and the usual Wetherspoons value for money, there is an outdoor dining area which is reasonably pleasant.
