Exceptional stay. The accommodation was excellent and the food was fabulous. The staff are very friendly while remaining professional. The restaurant is highly regarded for its dinner menu and rightly so. However, the breakfast is also excellent with 5 cooked options, including 2 fish options. All the food is locally sourced. I can highly recommended s say here.

The staff were friendly and helpful. The decor was reminiscent of the early 19th century and very charming. We had booked a larger room, which had a 4 poster bed and spa tub. Breakfast was good as was the dinner. The bed was very comfortable.

Our room was large & comfortable with windows at the front towards the ferry. Big comfy chairs to lounge in to watch the Olympics. We followed the Shetland locations around & swam at Bains beach. All terrific.

What a brilliant place to stay whilst visiting the Orkneys. Our room was spacious and well decked out with everything you need for a stay. The bed was comfortable and bathroom spotless. Hot breakfast to order upstairs in the dining room made by the lovely Alice. Thank you so much for being so helpful and informative in our emails to you…. What an amazing & superb guesthouse this is. Lovely rooms, extremely comfortable beds, and a delicious breakfast. Incredible views of the sea and countryside from almost every window & Teresa couldn't do enough for you. Will definitely come back again.

Beautiful property with very new, clean, modern facilities. Breakfast was excellent with porridge included in the continental includes breakfast. Hosts really friendly and helpful .

    Our favourite places in Toab were the lovely sandy beaches...

    Our favourite places in Toab were the lovely sandy beaches which had an abundance of wildlife and flowers. We chose to eat at Sheila Fleet's Kirk cafe which had a choice of interesting dishes, but most importantly for us - a delicious vegan dish which we loved. The roads in Toab are easy to get around on and around every corner there are gorgeous views, little stone Orkney houses and fields of inquisitive cows! The wide open views of sea and sky are breathtaking, as are the gorgeous blues and turquoise colours that flood your senses.

    This is a great location to explore the East Mainland of...

    This is a great location to explore the East Mainland of Orkney. There are great beaches and coastal paths. We enjoyed walking along the coast from Dingieshowe beach and the spectacular Mull Head. We enjoyed visiting Sheila Fleet’s Kirk Gallery and cafe. Lovely gift ideas and delicious food. Deerness Distillery is also worth a visit as they make delicious gins.
