The look of the cottage on the outside looked nice and old but step through the door and wow, all the mod cons like a brand new house. The family and I loved it. The lady that showed us around was great, let my kids play on her kids climbing frame. 2 great sized rooms and the bathroom had a shower and a big bath tub.

Pros: Great kitchen, comfy beds, very clean. Perfectly quiet, no traffic, safe for kids. Reasonably price for privacy. Cons: Signs on the oven went off, so there was a problem to turn it on. Still 10 on 10 :)

Comfy, cosy house with everything we needed. We stayed in March and the house was nice and warm. Easy check in/check out. Very clean. It was lovely having the garden area too. We had 3 adults staying and there was plenty of space. There's parking spaces a few metres down the road but there's room to stop to load and unload by the front door.

We liked privacy, small garden for our little dog, Property was clean, instructions were clear, there were a wi-fi and Netlix account we could use. Some tea, coffee sugar and milk in the fridge. And what I loved the most heated Floor...I miss that already. This is a small house you can stay for a long time...

Comfortable stay with pretty much everything you need, it...

Comfortable stay with pretty much everything you need, it even provides board games for kids. Beds are comfortable, and it has all the kitchen equipment required. Very nice and quiet environment, including a small play area nearby. Took us a while to find the lodge, maybe a more detailed directions will be helpful especially for late arrival in the dark (Having said that, we were pre-warned that it's going to be dark). We stayed during a very hot summer week, a thinner blanket would be good as compared to a thick winter duvet. Wifi connections hit and miss which is understandable due to the remote location.

Nice quiet area but may be different during school holidays.

Nice quiet area but may be different during school holidays. Didn't use the cafe area so cannot comment on that. Good base for touring the area but still quite a drive to Snowdon. Not so good for local pubs

We loved our stay at Trawsfynydd.

We loved our stay at Trawsfynydd. The cottage was unique in its position in the countryside. We wished we had booked another night so we could have completed more walks. The cottage has everything you need for self catering, however if you want to go out, there is a local pub a couple of kilometres away in Trawsfynydd or ‘The Oakley’ about 15 minutes drive.

the location was good the cottage was awful

the location was good the cottage was awful there was an awful smell in the living room and kitchen the tv in the living room didnt work we had to watch tv in the front bedroom on a bed that was so uncomfortable the pillows were flat as pancake's the mattress's were so thin and uncomfortable .The bed frame in the double was not put togeather properly and swayed when you moved there was about 1 foot between the bed and wall i had to get in and out of bed sideways. There was no wardrobe's to hang clothes as there was no room to put a wardrobe.the garden was 3 layers all slates on floor my husband nearly slipped on the slate it moved when he stood on it this is budget cottage it's 1 star with 4 star prices the pics don't look nothing like the actual cottage there was a rug in the living room that was;nt a rug it was as thin as paper and looked like someone had thrown a load of noodle's on the floor and left them to dry.warning the garden is not suitable for children .Finally i told the host about tv he replied but did nothing and also messaged him about the garden no reply my husband and i work very hard we are in our 60's all this spoilt our break.
