The staff were especially lovely, friendly and accommodating. As a female staying alone (for work) I felt fully safe and looked after by every staff member I came across, they couldn’t do enough for me. Had a gorgeous meal for dinner, breakfast was equally lovely. The view from my room was beautiful. The bed was very comfortable.

Compare with other English hotels, this hotel, has facilities, clean, breakfast for everyone, not just English breakfast, it has fruits and other options as well. The Staff were really nice and friendly. I like the place where the Hotel is. Next to River, with tables and chairs, around it. You can enjoy the peace of nature with cup of tea or glass of wine. Really nice spaces.

There'll probably be feedback on Booking.com that this hotel needs money spent on it, that it needs redecorating or things like that. That would be missing the point, though. I had a lovely stay (I don't always, when I am travelling alone). The staff were really friendly and helpful (I stayed on after check out for some hours in order to work in a quiet corner, and there was no problem about that). I had a really lovely meal (I recommend the garlic mushrooms and the Cumberland sausage) and the best night's sleep I've had in ages in a comfortable bed in a quiet room. I think this hotel must be well loved as on a Tuesday evening the dining-room was pretty busy.
