Bed and pillows really comfortable, excellent staff and service. Traditional bar with really friendly and welcoming locals. 2 excellent cask ales that were kept in great condition. Great home cooked Pissas and the breakfast was the best full cooked breakfast I've ever had, the black pudding and haggis were very good quality

We arrived after walking the John Muir Way and settled in with a paper and a libation and stayed for the evening - the food was fabulous and matched by the delightful service. We felt thoroughly welcomed in this hopping local favourite. The room was comfortable and the breakfast was generous and delightful.
