Everything about the place is amazing. The location is you're heading too and from the airport. The rooms are immaculate. Plenty of beer and drinks choices for those wanting to unwind. Food menu was excellent and both courses that I ordered came really quickly. There are nearby walks to do which you can lose a few hours on or soak up the nice vibes in the bar. I wish I was aware of this before I arrived.

The location was perfect for the Small Animal Hospital where my dog had an appointment (we also stayed a few weeks back). Loved the homely feel of the place, with the secure garden. The owners Becky & Roy were so kind in texting to check everything was ok for us. I hope to visit next year & highly recommend!

Hosts couldn't have done more to provide everything we needed. Everything was convenient, functional and useful. We enjoyed the interesting conversion - the mezzanine kitchen with lovely bright skylights. The bathrooms were spotless and thoroughly modern. All the bedding and soft furnishings were like new.

Excellent place. Very large spacious and comfortable house with 3 toilets, good kitchen, private garden. Good location - easy to get to most places. Spotlessly clean. Clutter free house. No lists of do's and dont's. Nicely furnished. Quiet and peaceful location. Would definitely like to stay again.

What a gorgeous little town. Exceptional room that was so comfy I didn't want to leave. Cute fireplace, comfortable bed, windows looking out on the town, and the best bath. Lot of thought and care in this place and the upkeep of it. If you don't feel like eating all meals at their restaurant downstairs, highly recommend the Indian place Table 8 next door.

The hotel room was lovely. Excellent views could see a field of cows right opposite the hotel. Its a good location for cheddar gorge but it is about 3 miles away so a car is beneficial. There doesn’t seem to be any hotels right in cheddar gorge anyway so this is the closest. We did get taxis in the evening so we could have a few drinks and had no issues. Cost only £10 to cheddar gorge on a Saturday evening.

Winscombe is the perfect location for a holiday in the Mendips. The very friendly village has shops of every kind ...including a bakery and a butcher.... and the surrounding countryside ...including Mendip Hills in every direction... is stunning. For more local walks, the course of the old railway line, closed in the 1960s, is perfect.

This was a stop over on the way to Cornwall to see Cheddar Gorge. the food was great, rooms clean tidy and air conditioned. It is perfectly situated for visiting local sites. The vie from the hotel is amazing especially if the weather is nice and you can take advantage of eating outside.

I'm sure Winscombe is a lovely place and I only stayed one night but it's not the nicest visually, not a picture postcard town. It has lots of practical shops and lots of independents which we would have liked to visit but sadly closed whilst we were there. Winscombe is well situated for visiting so many great places around it. The Woodborough Inn is good and friendly staff. Nice walk on Strawberry Line too! Lovely café called The Pantry Café for cakes and tea! 20 minutes drive to the sea!

We were originally shooting for Bristol, but pricing made us look a little further around. Winscombe is a small village, so there's not a lot to do right there. We day-tripped to Wales, Bath for the Roman Baths, and Stonehenge. It was perfect for the kind of trip we like to do.

WINSCOMBE IS A FAIRLY SMALL VILLAGE BUT HAS SEVERAL PLACES TO EAT OR GET TAKE AWAYS. THERE'S A DECENT SIZED CO-OP TO GET SUPPLIES. WE CHOSE THE PROPERTY AS WE WERE GOING TO VISIT THATCHERS CIDER FARM 2 MILES AWAY. THATCHERS GAVE A LOVELY GUIDED TOUR, I RECOMMEND IT. LOTS TO SEE AND DO IN THE SURROUNDING AREA. WE VISITED TYNTESFIELD HOUSE A NATIONAL TRUST PROPERTY NEARBY AND CANNINGTON WALLED GARDEN WHICH WAS BEAUTIFUL. LOVELY WALKS AT YOUR DOORSTEP AND PLENTY MORE THINGS TO DO. WE ATE 2 NIGHTS AT THE WOODBOROUGH INN AND ONCE AT THE WINDMILL AT THATCHERS CIDER FARM AND ENJOYED THEN ALL.

Excellent breakfast. Huge choice of delicious dishes. So rare to find any menu within hotels/pubs/restaurants (out of London) with vegan vegetarian no sugar/low sugar whole foods for breakfast. Dinner was wonderful too, food so, so good and brilliant menu with wide variety of dishes. Standard of cooking was amazing and ingredients were perfect. Masses of congratulations to a fantastic chef and kitchen team. Atmosphere great and all staff and service for entire stay was exceptional

We booked this property as were doing the thatchers cider tour. It was a 30minute walk from the cider tour, but there is a bus that runs every hour! Plenty of bedrooms and beds, lovely home. Nice kitchen and living area. Was nice and clean in the bathrooms with clean towels etc. Lovely little cul de sacc close to shops and pubs in Winscombe.
