I recently stayed at Watermead B&B in Chard, Somerset, and it was a wonderful experience. I was there just for the night, but it felt like a mini-vacation. The house is detail-oriented, and the rooms are so comfortable and fresh. From the plentiful parking to the nice, comfortable beds, the friendly hosts leave you with no doubt at all that they want their guests to enjoy their visit, and they'll go out of their way to make sure you are happy. After a restful night's sleep, you'll be served a delicious breakfast cooked fresh to order. There's no better way to start the day.

We honestly couldn’t have asked for more! The staff were so wonderfully friendly and welcoming, it felt like home from the moment we arrived. The farm-to-table ethos meant the food was absolutely delicious, and the kids had the best time with all the activities (farm tours, meeting baby lambs, feeding pigs, horse riding, swimming and mini land rover rides), and we’ve made the loveliest family memories walking through the grounds every evening. Being only a short drive (10 mins) from the coast was the cherry on top. A brilliant little find.

The hotel was dog friendly and also accessible for my husband these features alone made the holiday experience great, the staff are great and the rooms very clean , highly recommend the food there too

Bloody proper, you get what you are looking for. Saturday Disco is great, if you want to mingle with the locals this is your place. Great kebab down the street, proper night snack. Breakfast at Phoenix is unrivaled.
