I'm an Aegean archaeologist by training so Athens is my go to place...at least as a starting point and finishing point. There are so many excellent restaurants to experience if one takes the time to look around...and the service is fabulous, again if you choose your place wisely. I use the same restaurants most of the time and add a few new ones each time I visit. I was a bit miffed that the Kerameikos (site) was closed when I went in August.....it was in May as well.....and one of the entrances to the Greek Agora was closed as well!! We had an amazing stay at this hotel in Athens! The self check-in process was smooth and incredibly easy, and the host's communication was prompt, clear, and helpful throughout. It made arriving and settling in completely hassle-free. The location is very good. It's physically close to everything you'd want to explore in Athens and we ended up not utilizing public transit as often as we thought. We mostly walked around Plaka, Monastraki and Syntagma Square and closely located to a great selection of restaurants. Noise on the room was minimal, which was a pleasant surprise given how central it is. The rooftop access was the highlight of my stay. The view of the Acropolis, especially at sunset and in the evening when it's lit up, was absolutely stunning. It felt like a private piece of the city’s magic. For the price, the value is unbeatable. Clean, comfortable, well-located, and with that view — you really can’t ask for more. I’d definitely stay here again on my next trip to Athens!Guest review byLinhUnited States - 10.0
Athens is an amazing city.
Athens is an amazing city. There are endless things to do, see and the food is great. It is easy to get around either by walking or using the metro and tram (which are very modern, clean and safe). The buses were good as well. The people are mostly nice and most of the speak well enough English so communication is okay for the most part. I visited with my fiancé for a week at the end of August 2025 and we definitely could have stayed longer. We are from Israel so we found the weather to be relatively nice, but it could be considered hot if you are from a more temperate zone. It is dry though, which makes the heat much more tolerable. Long story short- A great city and I can't wait for my next visit!Guest review bygideonIsrael
