The setting of these rooms is just amazing! You're right on the sea, with your own front yard of sand and trees. You roll out of your bed into the sea and then sit/work under the shade of the trees a couple of meters from the water. Lots of people walk past, so it's not very private, but they all comment on how pleasant it looks there where you sit.

Fantastic, clean and attractive apartment with full kitchen, comfy beds, beautiful gardens, great playground, sea view and helpful hosts. Excellent value for money! The beach is stunning and the local taverna offers excellent food for great prices.

Everything was AMAZING. We stayed in two different booking during our stay: one apartment and a maisonnette. Both bookings were super clean, well furnished, modern and cosy vibe. Little gifts were presents when we arrived, nice attention. The situation is superb, there are great restaurants in the area and you are just 5 mins from the beach. It's a family business and you can feel it! If you hesitate DON'T!

The location is exceptional. I liked a lot the private beach and the beautiful garden. The stuff is very very kind. The food was excelent. There are a lot of vegetarian specialities too, local goods. It is just awsome. Very good vibes, good music and special atmosphere. Children friendly.

Everything!!! The owners were so kind and friendly, the location was just perfect in a lovely setting, next to a beautiful beach and the castle, the apartment was inmaculate clean and perfectly equipped with everything we could need, every detail was so thoughtful. The swimming pool is so nice, and we could use the washing machine for our clothes. The owners even lend us an umbrella for the beach. We wish we could have stayed for longer!

The concept of the houses was lovely. It was just a 10/10! The view, the pool, the interior - all of it. Also great location for hiking! Nikos - the owner - was so helpful, nice and you can feel the passion for his newly started business!

    Wild and wonderful corner of South Crete, with not many turists. Frangokastello offers the possibility to know sea and mountains, beaches are beautiful and of different typologies (sandy, pebbles, cliff). Tavernas (fish and/or meat) are numerous and of very good quality, not at all expensive

    I liked the hosting family very much, who did their best to make us comfortable after we complained about our first night there with no hotwater or view of Sea as advertised.We were moved upstairs to a better room. We enjoyed walking to the bakery for fresh bread and baked goods and a good supermarket was near. Also a good bay for swimming and lots of naturewalks in area but you need a car. Took ferry to Agia Roumeli whereas walked to a part of the Samaria gorge from the south

    We are regular visitors to Frango.

    We are regular visitors to Frango. It is a beautiful quiet location with a great selection o. While there are 4 or 5 tavernas near the Venetian castle tavernas ( Avoid Drousillites) the rest are spread out over 3/4 kilometres from Vatalos (Sfakia direction) on the west to Zorbas (highly recommended on the east (Plakias direction) Three distinct beach areas 1. Orthi Amnos long golden beach reached directly by steps near the beautiful Paradisos/Fata Morgana complex. 2. The Venetian castle again golden sands and water that remains shallow for a couple of hundred metres so very suitable for young kids or nervous swimmers/paddlers. 3. Near Stavros Taverna and Stavris Apartments and and stone beach with free sunbeds under shady trees. ( buy a drink or meal at the tavernas. Frango stretches over a flat plateau-like area (about 6Km X 3km oval shape locked between the Libyan sea and the impress Lefka Ori mountains close to the IMBROS GORGE. A car is very useful but not essential. Bicycles are wonderful alternative and some apartments provide these complimentary. For us the heart of the community is the Taverna Kali Cardia (Good Heart) run by Thanassos and his son Alexi. Always good company and with fabulous traditional home-cooked Cretan meals. We have been travelling here for over 25 years and regularly encounter friends on return visits in this homely taverna.

    We loved southern Crete.

    We loved southern Crete. Much less built up and touristy than the north. The beaches are nice and gently sloping - amazing turquoise water. We had a day when the wind was really blowing but otherwise it was beautifully calm and enjoyable. Great place to explore more of the southern coast from.

    the accomodation we stayed in didn’t fullfill our expectations, but for just staying the night was it ok. Definitely recommend the beach. It is beautiful with just few people and amazing views, sand beach and sea. I also recommend the taverna above the beach, it was very tasty and for a perfect price. The best trip we made was the Imbros gorge, even though there were a lot of people but it was very nice.

    It's 15th year of my family's holidays there.

    It's 15th year of my family's holidays there. We really love the city and all surrounding places. It's impossible to get bored. I really love Vatalos Taverna and their family's concept for traditional cretan cuisine, cleanliness and friendship. Corali is a new nice discovery for us, after a short visit 2 years ago to one of their music nights.

    Beautiful and calm place, very close to the beach that is quite and well equipped (also with a taverna). The owners are a very kind family, they took care of us in all the possible ways (even with some welcome gifts). I and my husband really enjoyed the stay! The only partially negative thing was the location of the bedroom (on the side of the main road, but the windows are soundproofed). Recommended for everyone who desires quiet and direct contacts with the genuine splendor of South Crete!!

    great place to spend a few days relaxing in south Crete. The hotel offers a bar & pool where you can spend some time, there is a beach at walking distance with a tavern serving great cretan food. This is not a place to go and party, but it's a fantastic place to relax. The whole region is full of small coves and beaches and you can find great food at fantastic prices (compared with other touristic places). Absolutely recommendable

    The best place I’ve been while I was in Crete. location is just speechless, 30 mins from Sfakia. you are surrounded by nature and nothing else. just few steps and you have this cliff and down below a private beach. I very much recommend it for any ruppe of stay (from 1 night up to stay for the whole vacation).

    We spend very nice time in Coral with very friendly and polite staff. Babis, Malina and Julian thank you!This is truly pet friendly hotel. We had 2 dogs with us. Also, every day different menu in restaurant is very nice concept.
