Beautiful property and lovely people working in hotel. Breakfast was amazing. Swiming pool beautiful, quite and perfect. Tried the spa, also the highest mark. Rooms cozy and comfortable. We were there for 2 days and had a great break and reset.

Exceptional and fantastic hotel! We stayed in a penthouse apartment. Such great rooms! The whole Interior was done with remarkable esthetics, with reverent attention to detail. Relaxing with a glass of wine in front of the cozy fireplace, after a long day in Zagori, will definitely be a fond memory. The bed was large and confortable. Just the right softness of pillows. We had a fantastic and restful night's sleep. The bathtub in the open space and the design of the bathroom gave the bedroom a special flair. (my favorite feature in the apartment 😀) The hotel staff were excellent, professional and friendly. Our special thanks to Georgia who made our stay memorable and fulfilled all our requests in an efficient, professional and friendly manner. Excellent communication with the hotel before and during our stay. Breakfast was very good, nice and tasty local selection. I would suggest giving some more breakfast choices for vegetarian guests. I rate the hotel 10 out of 10. I highly recommend it for a stay in Ioannina! We will definitely be back for another long weekend!

    Stayed just one night but wished we had stayed longer. Beautiful walks beside the lake. Lovely island on the lake to explore with a fascinating history. Castle area also interesting and very atmospheric especially in the evening. The new town was extremely lively after dark with lots of great shops and restaurants. Highly recommended visiting.

    This place is perfect for any type of person!!

    This place is perfect for any type of person!! You want a calm environment? This is the place for you. Inspiration? The place for you. Nightlife? Also the place for you. (paradoxically) Adventure? The place for you (but rent or have a car, 'cause these places are 1h or more by car, from Ioannina). There is something for everyone. Food is excellent: Our favorite is Nava, this is a Gourmet Restaurant, but they also have Pinsa and burger, etc. (Cocktails are topnotch as well!!). We also loved Balsamico, Arte (in the citadelle/fortress), and Cafe Chevalier (also in the fortress, amazing place to have a healthy drink, amazing coffee with artisanal ingredients, as well as artisanal home-made ice-cream with no sugar. The environment is poetical!). Ioannina is the perfect place for both day and night life. The fact that in the fortress is basically a neighborhood, makes this place even more amazing. It's like a city inside the city. It blew our minds... It's amazing for having a walk (day or night), eat, have a coffee, or visiting museums (the castle). There is also the island on the lake (Nissos) which is absolutely amazing! You get there by taxi-boat (20 minutes). We are seriously thinking of moving there some time soon if life allows :D <3.

    Ioannina is a beautiful city with a gorgeous lake and a lovely park. It’s a great base for exploring the stunning surrounding scenery like the Vikos gorge and the mountain villages as well as having excellent restaurants and bars and a ferry service across the lake to the island which is both picturesque and interesting. Made a great start to what then went on to being a beach holiday. I would recommend 3-4 nights in Ioannina.

    I actually cut my stay short by one night S l was unwell with a head cold and on my own l would go again but late autumn. It was very hot there, Second wee of June However l feel to take in the full atmosphere of this lovely city autumn would be at its best. It’s very laid back, selection of eateries was good.

    Ioannina is a charming lakeside city perfect for families. The food is exceptional—rich in tradition with delicious local dishes. A boat ride to Ali Pasha's island is a must, offering history, scenic beauty, and unique museums. Warm hospitality and picturesque views make it a memorable destination for all ages.

    We loved the lake front, the Byzantine / Ottoman Castle, and the museums, especially the silversmith museum, Aslan Mosque (now a museum), the archaeological museum, and the historical archive museum in the center of the city, and we also loved the mountainous areas and small towns that were easy to visit in a day trip. Our favorite restaurant was Fysa Roufa, located in the center of town. They have a great selection of local home-cooked dishes, the food is great, and the prices are very reasonable

    The location is wonderful - front line view to the lake. It is 7-10 minutes drive to Ioannina center, so you'll need a car, but there are a few restaurants in walking distance. We booked a room with a lake view and really enjoyed seating in the balcony. The breakfast is rich with coffee, orange juice, breads, several pies, vegetables, cakes, bacon and eggs. The spa is a room with a small heated pool with jets and a sauna, which is booked in advance for an hour.

    The appartment it is cosy and really nice organized. We had the top floor app and the kids loved the upper bed. The location is perfect, a quite one, 10-15 min normal walk to the center. We managed to visit all the museums, castle, island by foot, with no need for car/ public transportations. We enjoyed a lot our stay and for sure we will come back here again if we will revisit Ioannina.

    Kastro is a comfortable hotel located within the old city walls. They catered the best breakfast of any of our hotels in Greece with a delcious range of savoury and sweet continental style offerings. Drip coffee was provided. The rooms were large and comfortable. It is an easy walk to restaurants and the lake front.

    It is a beautiful hotel, well kept with a 5 star feeling. The staff is wonderful, the breakfast is great! The hotel is situated near a lake, very nice to walk next to. Close location to center of city near the castle, where all of the restaurants are. Miss it already, great price for a wonderful stay.
