We had a wonderful stay in Kakovatos. Our host was extremely kind, caring and friendly and made sure every moment we spent in the apartment was pleasant. The apartment is comfortable and clean. It is located in the centre of Kakovatos and the beach is not far away. The beautiful beach is sandy, long and spacious. The people of Kakovatos were very welcoming and friendly in every shop and restaurant we visited. Once again all compliments to the host, we are very grateful for her hospitality and would certainly come back someday!

We found it to be a most delightful little apartment with everything we needed for a short stay. Eleni was a most attentive and friendly host and she was able to tell us a bit about the region as well as help us with some things we needed to know in Greek. Walking down through her gorgeous garden, over the dunes to the sea side was really special. It is a most wonderful protected area - we were intrigued to find out that it became a nature reserve only three years ago because of turtles nesting in the dunes. That means no more building near the dune landscape, which is very good news. The village nearby is perfect for buying food and eating out, a very friendly place. We were particularly delighted by all the flowering shrubs in this very verdant part of Greece as well as the marvellous trees, including many mulberry trees. Eleni’s place is right in the middle of this area. Although it was very hot, the air conditioning worked well, and we loved our little balcony with its very efficient canopy. The wi-fi was really efficient too, so we were able to catch up with things we needed to do online. Thank you for a lovely stay!

Wonderful location, clean comfortable rooms, kind friendly hosts. Great shower and room had a fridge which was really useful. We also borrowed cutlery and a plate to eat our dinner. Lake Kaiafas is beautiful so many birds and the pond turtles and terrapins are amazing. Lovely beaches a short drive away and an ancient acropolis to explore with stunning views. Thank you

Incredibly charmed by host Mina. She doesn’t speak English, but finds ways to communicate and makes you feel at home. What should have been a quick stop in a tiny village in between visits of archeological sites turned into one of the highlights of the trip. Amazing people, spacious apartment, sunny balcony, delicious cookies as a welcome gift…the list goes on. Efcharisto, Mina!

    Kakovatos is a charming small village that sits right on a great sandy beach with crystal clear waters. It is tucked away from touristy areas and offers family-oriented vacation experience. Local taverns are the best and offer traditional Greek dishes and fresh fish daily. Neda falls are a one-hour drive and are worth the hike, and ancient Olympia is only 20-30 minutes away by car.
