Great location, intimate hotel, very nice and extremely helpful owner- Eleni! The room was clean and very well equipped, we had no problems staying with our doggie. We hope to return here again someday!

The welcome on the day of arrival was very friendly and you feel like you are coming home. The hospitality in the small village is incredible, especially in the heart and soul of the village tavern. Therefore, it's absolutely recommended to get in touch with the local people in the tavern with a glass of house wine, because they can give you very good information and tips for the region...additionally you can talk with them about "Everything under the sun".

UNBELIEVABLE experience! The property is not only a place to stay but a 3 storey authentic traditional Cretan house renovated with love, passion and "meraki" by Mihalis and Nasia for themselves, for the beautiful moments of leisure they want to create for their family and friends. In this place we had the luck to spent 4 nights and we wish we have booked longer. Upon arrival, Mihalis welcomed us with a tour in his bio-garden and gently told us that we are free to pick up whatever we want! In the meantime he passed on me a giant watermelon and several Greek garden goodies such as cherry tomatoes, cucumbers, bell peppers, okras and corn! The appartment's cleanliness is 10/10 equipped with bath robes, several towels and thousands of self treatment goodies in both bathrooms. Furthermore both refrigerators in the inner and outer kitchen were loaded with a plenty of wines, sodas and beers. The kitchens were equipped with all necessities that someone needs to cook so we didn't even had to visti a supermarket. The appartment has a nespresso coffee machine and a washing machine. The 360 view from the balcony was outstanding and we didn't want to go out from the heated jacuzzi where Mihalis has changed the water and filled it up with fresh in front of us. This kind gesture is unseen in every property with a jacuzzi that we have visited. Needles to say that there is ...another indoor jacuzzi in the lower floor. Although our trip was composed by several more stays in beach front properties, this was our favourite part. Mihalis, Nasia and all people from the nearby villages made us feel so unique as they didn't simply rent a place but share the luxury of the paradise made for themselves. We wish we could came back soon!

This was easily one of the most hospitable stays we have ever had. The owners were so kind and treated us like family. Nik made us breakfast in the morning, we weren't given a menu, the food just showed up and it was delicious!! Everyone in this area was so nice and wonderful to my 16-month-old son. The room we stayed in was clean and functional. The beach was awesome, we were the only people there. Some rocks but 99% sand. When we were heading out he gave me his card and told me to make sure I emailed him if we had any problems or questions about the island. I cannot express how great the customer service was.

    This is NOT a destination for tourists - even local Cretans...

    This is NOT a destination for tourists - even local Cretans do not go here It is a totally isolated small hot rock black beach (200 meters) with 2 small cafe/restaurants. You will need a car to get around since no taxis/buses etc in the area. Getting there by car is a treacherous single lane road with hairpin turns up and down mountains. From Heraklion - expect to take 90 minutes - IF driver knows the way! The NAME of the apt used to be Seaside Beach Apt” - and no one could tell us new name! Our taxi driver spent nearly 45 minutes looking for the place! Expect to speak Greek to get ANYTHING done.

    It was Tries Ekklesies, Paranimfoi is the inland village.

    It was Tries Ekklesies, Paranimfoi is the inland village. It is a tiny end of the world place, with 3 tavernas we never saw the churches after which it was named) . There is tourist accommodation and the tavernas serve decent food. It is a simple place which is its attraction with one supermarket. The beaches are shingle with some sand, but without tourist sunbeds or umbrellas. The waters are clear and you can swim off the village beach or go further in either direction( by car) to quieter bays. The western one has superb clear water, and the tamerisks provided a bit of shade. The rugged mountains and gorge behind have vultures soaring above them and a few goats. The approach road is now tarmacked, a big improvement of a few years ago, but still very steep and dramatic. The stars are very clear here at night.
