I cannot give enough praise of this apartment! :) The view is STUNNING, the room is very clean (gets cleaned every day) and super cosy, the patio is big with the, once again, beautiful view over the clifs and the sea. The host Betty is a sunshine, extremely welcoming and helpful, such a kind and beautiful person. The location is perfect, on the edge of Plaka, which is the most amazing village on Milos. We had a superb time at Bettys and cannot recommend enough. I would return to the same apt if ever we go back to Milos, without a doubt! Thank you Betty so much!

Stunning view from a charming balcony! Plaka is an absolutely lovely town. We were so delighted by the surprise bottle of wine and little goodies in the fridge. The building itself is grand and beautiful, and the apartment had everything we could possibly need. It really made our stay special!

This is one of the best places I have ever stayed. It was suggested by a friend who knows the incredible owner, a famous film director. Although it just opened, I had a difficult time finding a room, so book in advance. It's situated within walking distance from the charming traditional village of Plaka, and the views and sunsets from the room are breathtaking. We stayed in the smaller house, but I also saw the mesmerizing master suite with a jacuzzi and Roche Bobois sofas. The accommodations are perfect—spacious, high-ceilinged, with comfortable beds and full Molton Brown amenities. The house felt like it was straight out of a House and Garden article, featuring handmade ceramics, textiles, and designed furniture, all reflecting the simplicity of the Aegean Sea. The owner greeted us personally, was attentive, and treated us like guests in her own home. We had a drink on the terrace while she shared stories about her fascinating life as a former dean of a film school and an accomplished filmmaker. The house is situated in the most beautiful spot, offering the opportunity to watch incredible sunsets right from your own private space. It was an absolutely magical experience every evening! The hosts were incredibly helpful and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was amazing. They assisted us with everything from car rentals to restaurant recommendations and even arranged boat trips for us. Their hospitality made our stay even more enjoyable and totally stress-free. The apartment itself is very new and beyond beautiful. It combines modern amenities with traditional Greek style. While the path leading to the house is upwards, it's really nothing to worry about. The steps are easy to manage, and if needed, the hosts are more than willing to help with bringing baggage to the house. Overall, I highly recommend this apartment in Plaka. The location, the hosts, and the beautiful accommodations make it a perfect choice for anyone looking to experience the best of Milos. We can't wait to return!

The apartment provided everything we needed. The staff were quick to respond to queries and offer recommendations, Michael and Georgia deserve 10/10 marks. Location was perfect, the apartment is 100m from both plaka centre and the bus stop. Sound proof, air conditioned and super comfortable. Would highly recommend.

    Nice to be in a location with some restaurants/bar, lots of shops, incredible views and lots of friendly cats! Safe area and free public parking lot a 10-15 min walk from most places in the Plaka. Overall seems much less crowded and crazy than Adamas Port area. Some small museums in the town. As Plaka is higher up on the island, be prepared for walking inclines/declines and some stairs depending on your route. Limited car parking up close to restaurants and some of the rental accommodations, so something to consider if you have difficulty with mobility. I wouldn't hesitate to stay in this area again.

    Excellent location in Placka.

    Excellent location in Placka. The host Stelios really care about the clients and he is used to provide very useful information about restaurants and beaches in Milos and other islands. The studio was amazing with an excellent view. I suggest all future visitors of Milos to stay in the old village of Placka and book a room at Halara Studios.

    Magnificent view from the terrace of the countryside below...

    Magnificent view from the terrace of the countryside below Plaka, parts of the Milos bay and the windmills of Trypiti. On foot you can reach the old core with its beautiful Cycladic architecture in a few minutes or the ancient theater in half an hour. Don't miss the sunset from the Kastro! Our host Dimitris was incredibly helpful, in case of technical problems (Wi-Fi) immediately on the spot and had many good tips for restaurants, beaches and other destinations. On request, our apartment would have been cleaned even daily, which we did not find necessary.

    Plaka is a small village but definitely the best place to...

    Plaka is a small village but definitely the best place to stay on Milos due to the village being quite lively at night. I recommend a car for the island anyways so you might as well stay in that village and get a great view. The village is also central enough to the main attractions that if you want to hike directly from there to the port city or the beaches (Plathiena) or fish village (Klima) you will have a nice good hike. The prices are more expensive there so go eat elsewhere. The Utopian Café is worth it, though you can see the beautiful sunset from so many places. Do not go to the only café/bakery near the center - it's overpriced. Go to Adamantas - the port town - better prices for better quality.

    This was a lovely stay. The family were really friendly.

    This was a lovely stay. The family were really friendly. There are restaurants nearby.some a bit pretentious. We used a local taxi to take us around and to leave on the ferry Incoming was difficult as l ferry was two hours late. Nothing at ferry terminal. Best to walk to entry to port where there are more. No nearby local shops. Excellent archaeology including the spot where Venus de Milo was found.

    Plaka was the perfect little village to stay in.

    Plaka was the perfect little village to stay in. At night they block off car traffic and so pedestrians can walk freely from restaurants to shops to bars, etc. So cozy and lots of dining options. Central to the whole island.

    We had such a wonderful night in Plaka in this lovely cosy and super clean appartment. The owners are super welcoming and provided great recommandations. The location at the end of a very typical Greek alley makes you feel like you are discovering an hidden gem. It's very close to Plaka center but in a very quiet and more authentic part of the city. The room is super clean, and the shower is the best we had in Greece. Of course the balcony is just 5star, especially for the sunrise.

    The host was amazing and went above and beyond. Dimitris met us when we arrived and then drove us to the port when we were going to take the bus. The room was authentic Greek!! He provided great recommendations for everything from beaches to restaurants all over the island including booking an ATV in Plaka. Good views and great location to access the rest of the island. Would come back in a second.

    This place is great, it had a washing machine/some facilities for cooking which was amazing! Also one of the better showers during our stay in Greece. Moschoula would also bring baking every morning which was so kind of her 😊 we were also able to store our luggage until our ferry which was later in the evening! Loved the late check out time of 12pm 😊

    Highly recommend. We have stayed at many places throughout Greece and this has been one of the best. We really enjoyed the clean room, we had everything we needed and the location was quiet and relaxing. A big plus for the parking and the very fresh new bathroom! Also, very friendly hosts!
