Very nice place. Staff of the hotel very nice & kind. Facilities were great. Being other side of island Sami to us felt like central to go here and there even.if was 54mins-1 hour drive . We were close around corner from Drosgayo caves & Melisani caves . Greek breakfast was good parking on property great. The beach bar opened till midnight to have drinks

Lovely apartment with great views across the harbour. Sami is a perfect location for accessing the rest of the island. There are several good restaurants - we can recommend Tereza, Deco and Il Familia in particular. We are hikers and the island has lots of trails with fantastic views over hills, valleys and the sea; an abundance of wildflower meadows was a major bonus. Try the small maritime museum just outside Sami : the owner has built a fantastic collection of replica boats of the past 3000 years.

    Sami was a great place to stay!

    Sami was a great place to stay! We had 4 nights and wanted to stay longer. Very nice little town, we stayed in a great hotel, near a lovely little beach, great promenade and just enough restaurants and shops. You could go for day trips to other beaches, caves and to Ithaka, hire a boat or just stay and relax!

    The location is perfect.

    The location is perfect. Surrounded by beautiful natural scenery, just a short walk from beaches with crystal-clear water and no crowds, making it a peaceful getaway. Melissani Lake and Drogarati Caves are both nearby and worth visiting.

    It’s a very nice town that has a more locals living there...

    It’s a very nice town that has a more locals living there feeling. The terrain is wonderful. Sami beach was wonderful the restaurant on Sami beach was wonderful. The acropolis of Sami was a highlight of our three week trip. The Contessa restaurant in Sami was great. And everyday we traveled to a different part of the island. Views everywhere spectacular.

    Lovely small harbour town.

    Lovely small harbour town. Long beaches , with beautiful clear water. Lovely vibe in the evening peak season and could walk a few minutes along the front and have a beach to ourselves. A couple of good bars and great restaurants.

    Sami is a great location for a family holiday.

    Sami is a great location for a family holiday. Low key and traditional, maintaining its Greek heritage. Lots of family-run businesses and a popular stop for overnight yachts. Lots of very good restaurants to choose from and mini-markets for self-catering.

    A quiet and rather boring village, but a very good base to access water transport to the other islands, and to enjoy the wonderful Antisamos beach and the very interisting Melissani cenote and Karavomylos karstic lake.

    We had a wonderful stay in Sami with our two kids. The hosts were exceptionally kind and they provided everything that we needed. The house was very clean and well equipped, we enjoyed the garden a lot. The house is located 5 minutes from the beach and the camping Karavomilos is located right at the beach, offering shade, swimming pool and good food. Our stay in Kefalonia was excellent thanks to the very comfortable house and the beautiful island!

    The hotel is very well situated near the ferry and near the seafront and the many restaurants. It is a family run hotel and the owner Eleni couldn’t have been nicer. Her elderly mother and father were also lovely. The hotel is basic but very clean and the roof top is a lovely place to sip a glass of wine with a wonderful view.

    This hotel is built with love and lots of personality! The garden, breakfast with local products, hospitality of the owners -I enjoyed everything! Location is ideal: easy to arrive and explore Sami area. I also got my last breakfast to my room fridge, because I had to sign out early.

    Campsite is in a great location right on Sami beach and a short walk from Sami and Karavomylos for bars, tavernas and shops. Mobile home was comfortable and a great base for a week’s holiday exploring the island. Bar, pool and beach lovely. Staff really friendly and helpful.
