Nestled into gardens befitting its name, Lush is somewhat of a sanctuary among the sanctuaries in San Marcos. It is fairly quiet and most of the guests respect the 10pm quiet-time. Our cave room was very atmospheric. I love the natural rock incorporated into its layout. The only downside of this is that the roof in the bathroom and doorways were painfully low. If you are above 6 feet tall I would advise choosing a different option. A bit more packing space for luggage and clothes would not have gone amiss either. Lush is on the edge of town by the nature reserve. It is nevertheless only a 4 or 5 minute walk from everything in the main strip. The Lush restaurant also has a great airy vibe. The food is quite expensive compared to some of the excellent lunch and dinner options available in San Marcos. Even considering that San Marcos is a fair bit more expensive than the other towns on Lake Atitlan.

I had a great experience at Casa Ahau. Daniel and Erick put lots of love, effort and work in this place. They are available the whole day for their guests and we had a really nice time together with other guests. The breakfast was very good, the room was clean and the bed was comfortable. They have a great "Chill Out Area" with open kitchen and a super calm, cute and lovely dog. For me the best bed & breakfast I've booked so far around the lake. Will definitely come back. Thank you and love you guys!

Amazing views from every angle of the place. The whole wall of glass opens up, so when the weather is good, it's really amazing to have it open air. It rained a lot while I was there, and it was the most peaceful experience watching the clouds roll in and getting the breeze off the lake. The daybed against the window overlooking the lake is just divine. I could lounge there all day. There are two very cute and friendly cats that will try to get in! It's really quiet and the bed was amazing. Most comfortable place I stayed in Guatemala. I arrived early as someone was cleaning the apartment and she was extremely nice and stowed my bag while she finished up. A nice touch you don't often get in an airbnb type place.

The view from the rooms is absolutely beautiful. They look exactly like the pictures. The kitchen is clean and organised. The staff were kind and so caring. When I accidentally left my bag at the property, they personally came and brought it to me in the town! The rooms are private and secluded - perfect for a quiet getaway!
