A medieval beauty full of magnificence and glory, Dubrovnik is surrounded by white stone walls. Located on the Adriatic coast of Croatia, this masterpiece is one of the most promising tourist destinations.

Passing through the imposing stone gate of Pile Gate, you will find yourself immersed in history. Take a walk in the narrow streets of this charming city, enjoy a cup of coffee in one of the colourful cafés, or order fresh fish in one of the outdoor restaurants.

Dubrovnik is a wonderful place to visit, lots of interesting places to see in and around the City. The old Town itself was beautiful with the city walls surrounding the city so the views all around were amazing. I would definitely recommend people to visit. We ate in several of the restaurants in the town from Pizza to Pasta, mexican and local food, we did the Game of Thrones walking tour and also visited the Panorama restaurant on top of the hill via the cable car. Again this is worth a visit, just to see all the views. Also visited the island of Lokrum by boat which was worth a visit. All in all a fantastic holiday. Take comfortable shoes as lots of walking.

Been to many countries in Europe- but they by far exceeded expectations. Beautiful place, sun, sea mountain and nature. The people are one of the most hospitable people, so welcoming and friendly. There is so much history here and just a wonderful place to have a vacation, they also speak English to a high standard and we never felt uneasy. Really good location to also do many things- like visiting Bosnia, Montenegro, Bus tours, boat on sea, swimming and great sea food. Lots of maps at the airport with good recommendation- you can use get your guide online to book or go to the old town by the port and pay for excursions. Beaches and old town close by- use Uber as its cheaper and they have a collection point for pick up and drop off which is easy to find. Avoid all independent cash machines in the old town- as they charge excessive rates and you will pay more than the conversion rate.

    A beautiful place.

    It’s an amazing city.

It’s an amazing city. The city walls are amazing and the fort as well. Make sure to do the walk on the walls and if you are a Games of Thrones fan, Dubrovnik is a must as many scenes shot here. Simply loved it. Also good place to do day trips to Bosnia and Montenegro . Make sure to buy the Dubrovnik pass online - go for the 3 days pass for euro 50 ( one day pass is euro 40). Save the QR code and it gets you in to many many places including the wall walk and the fort. Just the wall walk ‘a ticket is euro 40

Dubrovnik is simply breathtaking – a city that feels like it...

Dubrovnik is simply breathtaking – a city that feels like it belongs in both history books and fantasy worlds. Walking through the Old Town is like stepping onto a movie set: massive stone walls, marble streets polished by centuries of footsteps, red rooftops glowing under the sun, and the endless sparkle of the Adriatic Sea right beside you. For Game of Thrones fans, it’s pure magic – King’s Landing comes alive with every corner, gate, and tower. You can easily imagine dragons flying above the walls while you wander around Fort Lovrijenac, Pile Gate, or the Jesuit Stairs. Even if you’ve never watched the series, the atmosphere here is absolutely cinematic. The vibe of Dubrovnik is a perfect mix of history, culture, and laid-back coastal charm. By day, you can explore the ancient city walls, take a cable car ride for panoramic views, or swim in the crystal-clear sea right outside the fortresses. By night, the town glows with warm lights, buzzing restaurants, and live music echoing through hidden alleys. And then there’s the food – fresh seafood, black risotto, grilled fish, oysters from nearby Ston, paired with local wines that taste like pure Mediterranean sunshine. Every meal feels like a celebration of the sea and the land. Dubrovnik is not just a city, it’s a feeling: timeless, majestic, yet welcoming and full of life. It’s a place where history meets fantasy, and where every moment feels like a scene you’ll remember forever. Truly one of the most beautiful cities in the world.

The old town is an extraordinary place, a must-visit.

The old town is an extraordinary place, a must-visit. You can also take the lift up on the surrounding mountain for an astonishing view. Also of course the beaches of Adriatic sea are marvelous. However the rest of Dubrovnik doesn't offer that much of excitement. So stay somewhere better and do a visit into the town.

We really enjoyed staying here. The whole experience was amazing. The room is super clean. Everything is new and high quality. Has everything you need from a nespresso, first aid kit, minifridge, smart tv etc. Offers free parking, you can take the bus to go to old town in about 7-8 mins. It is even better than a 5 star hotel. What makes it even better is the host. He was very helpful when our car broke down at 1 am. We can’t thank him enough. I wholeheartedly recommend this place.

We loved our stay at Valamar Lacroma Hotel and would definitely return here again. The facilities were wonderful and there was a large range of food options to choose from at the breakfast buffet. It was handy that we were able to use the pools/beach at the sister hotels too and there was a variety of restaurant options to eat at in and around the resort! There was a bus stop right outside the hotel to get into old town too, which we utilised to go exploring Dubrovnik.

The location is great, the hotel is modern. Rooms were very clean. The wellness center features a gym, jacuzzi, indoor and outdoor pool. The food buffet was delicious. The hotel has also a private and very nice beach and a parking. Exactly in front of the hotel there is a bus station and every 20 min a bus comes and in 10 min you arrive in Dubrovnik old town. The bus is running until mid of night, which is really great.
