The rapid construction of unsightly apartment buildings threatens the original charm of this peaceful coastal village and slowly pushes it toward the fate of overcrowded resorts like Makarska. For now, the situation is still bearable – but it feels like a tipping point is approaching. Great location on Pag Island if you wish to travel all around the Pag - so perfect as starting point. Very quiet comparing to other like Novalia. Perfect for families. We were in Povljana for the first time.
We were in Povljana for the first time. We did not think that our vacation would positively surprise us. We loved the peace and tranquility of this small fishing town, the cleanliness of the sea water and the very well-kept beach. I would recommend it to everyone who wants to get away from the fast pace of life and gather energy. It is a real paradise for a relaxing vacation. my partner and I agreed to visit Povljana again. Plovjana is a peaceful town, but it comes alive with delightful live music in the Plaza every Thursday and Saturday. The nearby beaches are stunning, and we especially loved the sandy beach to the south, which is just a 10-minute drive away. Well-equipped kitchen and bathroom, nothing was missing! The host family is kind and helpful, I can only say good things! Our vacation was perfect! Povljana is beautiful, everything is nearby, shop 2 minutes walk, beach 10 minutes walk, dog beach 5 minutes by car. King size beds are super comfortable. Funny thing-Kitchen is equipped with utensils like blenders but no drain for pasta. But there are plenty of forks so I managed 😁. We loved to sip our coffee on balcony and listen to birds song. Marina is very easy going and lovely to chat. As to location it is Old Povljana. We preferred it much more from New for its quiteness. Two sandy beaches are within 10 min walk. There’s also a pebble beach in Povljana. The apartment is very clean and modern. Equipped in everything that you might need. Outside, there is a lovely garden area with barbecue, sunbed etc. The apartment owners are very fiendly and helpful. We had a great time in this apartment and strongly recommend it to everyone.
