It was surprising how little is open on a Saturday afternoon, but a lot of the things are within walking distance from the centre which is nice. We didn't like the lack of bilinguality - there were no signs in English (as a 2nd language), we couldn't really find a place to drink/eat that would have English menus and we found very, very little people who spoke English.Guest review byDorisSlovenia - 10.0
Zalaegerszeg is a precious gem West from Lake Balaton.
Zalaegerszeg is a precious gem West from Lake Balaton. Lovely, calm city with every possible family attractions in the city or nearby. We love the playground in Vizslapark (a beautiful recreational park in the very centre of the city), the Thermal Bath (just 3 mins drive from the centre), the Pitvar Restaurant (the best deer-goulash in the world probably!), the central pedestrian streets with lovely cafes and shops, so, really, it is a beautiful, charming city!
