Everyone were nice and helpful. The family room came with dinner or lunch for 2 people. Plus breakfast for 3. The food was ok, but its really is value for money, but be prepared for long time for them to prepare your order. you have to introduce yourself to the restaurant under room bundling, it takes a while them to reconfirm with the receptionist, but once its done its smooth daily thing ordering from them. Location wise is the best. Try to get north side of the rooms, because one you go down, its starbucks pentacity lobby. The staff were great and very respectful. They always smile. Rooms cleaning are fast unlike hotels ive stayed before. Well maybe aicrowave oven is a good idea in family room. We stayed for a week, and i think astara suits well for long stay.

Great location and great Cafe down stairs, the food was fantastic and great coffee as well. Staff are always very friendly and helpful and all speak English if you need them to. Rooms are very clean. For me this is a great one to two night stop destination, not your week holiday destination.

This is a great hotel conveniently located right next to the shopping mall. There was a great spread at breakfast which changed slightly each day which was great. The swim out bar and dj in the pool area was the icing on the cake.

    Balikpapan is a clean small city, delicious culinary tourism, very close to the beach, with friendly residents. it is very pleasant to be in Balikpapan. to get around Balikpapan, we can use online transportation, public transportation, and there are also mini city buses that go around. both of them are famous for their culinary tourism, having dinner on the beach is certainly a fun thing, be careful the night wind on Balikpapan beach is sometimes quite strong

    The lungs of Borneo, rich in natural resources, a city where the river flows, and home to the indigenous Dayak tribe. These are just a few things we know East Kalimantan for. A province in Indonesia that could soon become the Indonesia’s future administrative capital—The New Awakening of Nusantara (the locals call it IKN, Ibu Kota Negara). The name of the future capital means “archipelago” in Javanese. It will be based in Sepaku, within the regions of North Penajam Paser and Kutai Kartanegara.     Stay here 1 night for my business trip. The staff was friendly and they're very responsive to help me. The room's clean. I reserved room only and add breakfast when I arrived to hotel. The taste's delicious and friendly waiters. And also the location's very strategic in the middle of the city. Recommeded and I will stay here again if I visit Balikpapan.

    The hotel is modern and clean, lift to all floors. Comfortable bed and nice bathroom. Staff were very helpful but have google translate ready! Lovely breakfast, lots of choice. They arranged a brilliant massage which was done in the room.

    The room was perfect, wifi worked amazing and we also loved the breakfast. The location was the best we got in Balikpapan, there's a great restaurant just downstairs, cheap place to do your laundry and the airport is close too

    Very clean hotel. The rooms can only be reached with the elevator with the room key, which I find very positive. The staff is very friendly. Will definitely use the hotel again if there is one in town.
