Good selection of breakfast buffet with a change in the type of rice and noodles for every day that we stayed there. The facilities were of good condition and sufficient for our use during the stay at Bromo. Location was superb and the view of Mount Bromo from the hotel was awesome! 10/10 would stay at Bromo Permai 1 again!

This is a great place. It is situated on a perfect spot while right under your nose is a beautiful and easy hike path to Brome (in 30 minutes I ran back from Bromo top to the hotel - walking takes for.example an 45 to 60 minutes) or the direction King Kong Hill. Forget jeeps and walk early in the morning (if you want because the view from the hotel is also beautiful) to King Kong hill; than take your taste breakfast and in the afternoon when there are not traffic jams of pedestrians (you can count the jeeps easily. 300ish in the morning and 3 at 01:00 in the afternoon). The staff is super friendly and together the clean a lot and they succeed in very clean rooms. Yes they are kind of basic but what do you get in the European mountains? More basic. Of yes it is not a all inclusive resort but a place with atmosphere - so some people better stay in a resort and go with the helicopter to the Bromo. For all contacts wifi is great. But if you love live contact: the owner is a most kind man and helps without any problem. For a friendly orice and with one of his most friendly staff he brought us to Bunyawangi. We definitely would stay longer if we should do the trip again, and walk instead around more days and skip the jeeps and keep on loving the freandy staff and unique location. Thanks for the service and comfort, thanks for the enormous location and thanks for the pleasant ride in the totally new comfortable car!!!

We loved everything about it! The location (a 45-minute jeep ride away from Bromo), the comfortable beds, the quaint and clean cabins and the gardens, designed with a keen artistic eye. But above all, the owners! They went out of their way to make our stay delightful: they organized our transportation and our trips; they provided our children with badmington rackets. And when they saw how curious we were about tasting local fruit, they treated us to different fruit every day. This is a family business, built from scratch, and you can tell that they really about their establishment and that they enjoy meeting people. People who've been to Indonesia know how friendly and generous the vast majority of Indonesians are with tourists, so when we say these were the most generous we've met so far, that's really saying something.

The young couple did well, saw the volcano and had a nice breakfast. And pick us up at Surabaya airport and arrange a volcano tour at a reasonable price. Be careful because on the roadside, it is best to sleep with earplugs.
