The place literally lives up to it's name. It really is an escape. It is placed in a rural area, far away form traffic, noise and crowds. We had a King Deluxe Suite and it lived to our expectations. Amazing view of the pool and ocean. I recommend getting this instead of the standard rooms if you want more privacy because those are at pool level. The staff was amazing and very helpful. Room service was fast and perfect. Totally recommend if you want to spend a few days away from crowds.

This is lovely seaside accommodation in Candidasa. A good central location to warungs, restaurants & shops. Our room was very comfortable & clean with good AC & wifi. The gardens are well maintained & the place has a lovely Bali feel to it. It was lovely to see that this property has survived that nasty pandemic. The new owners are gradually renovating each unit. There is a good selection of accommodation available from budget to deluxe rooms, ours had a small kitchen & lounge area. All in all, Temple Cafe & Cottages is a lovely relaxing stay.

It's a small hotel, so it's intimate and private. The room is very bright with spectacular views of the sea (the large glass window does a great job). The staff is very friendly and helpful; Yuni makes excellent cocktails. Overall, we are very satisfied with the hotel and the service.

    Candidasa is one of those true gems for those looking for something a little bit more Bali than Kuta and Legian. No high rise resorts, peacefull and an ideal way to add a little chillout and relax vibe to their stay. I spent 5 days in Kuta at Hotel Lusa which is a great hotel close to the beach then 3 night in Candidasa now back in Legian for 5 nights. One thing i will mention is that there aren't many white sand beaches in Candidasa. But it's a beautiful location and i'd recomend it to any traveller.

    This was our 4th trip to the area (over the last 20 years).

    This was our 4th trip to the area (over the last 20 years). We enjoy walks to some of the nearby villages, eating at a number of the local Warungs (local family-run eateries). As in some areas of Bali, there are uneven and often broken footpaths. As a 70+ year old with occasional mobility issues, I had to be very vigilant as to where I was walking, more so whilst outside the Resort. During our stay (July 2025) there was also major roadworks, which slowed the local traffic down even more. This is only a temporary challenge, once completed life for the local people and tourists alike will be easier, I'm sure :-))

    There's not a lot to do and you need to go by taxi to get to most places. Some restaurants will send a taxi to collect and return you to your accommodation and that's free. The shopping is limited, but good massage places. You can't walk along beach much and access to some beaches is complicated It is not overcrowded and hectic like most other places in Bali so if you want a less hectic break it's the place - choose good accommodation where you will be happy to stay in a lot and you'll really enjoy the peace!

    I'm afraid Candidasa has declined since I was there last, many restaurants and hotels have closed and the whole place could do with a refreshing, some places are really nice and if you're content to stay put and relax in the resort it would be very charming place to be, but for the more adventurous types, there's not really much to do. All the businesses and sellers were complaining of the lack of customers, and the very busy road through the middle of town can be dangerous and frightening most of the time.

    We loved the variety of restaurants and warungs with the free pick up and drop off and the spa treatments were very good and cheap. We especially loved the awesome staff at Villa Kaniksa they really made our stay stress free and a highlight of our Bali trip. The only very slight downside to Candidasa would be the footpaths but you see that all over Bali.

    IT was ok. Lotus lagoon was beautiful. Virgin beach was beautiful. Candidasa town was average. Not a whole lot to do though. Restaurants seemed a bit pricey compared to all other places visited. Flamingo restaurant was best value.

    The villa is secluded within a rural community. It is peaceful and beautiful. The bungalows have been designed thoughtfully and with care. The pool is fantastic. Bali Asli, fine dining restaurant, is 15mins scoot away. Lempuyang temple 30 mins away. Our host treated us so well, ordering takeaway if we did not want to leave the villa and picking coconuts from the garden trees for us to drink. He makes a great breakfast also! Great getaway from touristy Bali. Would highly recommend.

Staff very attentive and friendly as were the other guests. Good security overnight. Excellent Le Zat restaurant next door offers a discount for Geringsing guests. Very good value for money.

    Candidasa is a major dive centre with almost pristine waters on the mid-east coast of Bali. It also has access to all the water gardens, palaces and waterfalls. That means that many families come there and are out all day. The pool is excellent. The staff amazing. The air has an almost constant breeze. VERY competitively priced. Lots of great eating places nearby.
