Set in a stunning beachfront location on Pantai Moro, the dining room, lounge, pool, and beach beds all have an ocean view. Although I was traveling on my own, I felt very welcome.

Mr Sollo Sollo aka Ade is the best host anyone could have! He showed us around, took us to his friend that has a coconut tree field and we drank the most delicious coconuts ever, gave us tips about things to do around his hometown and island and even invited us to a family celebration that included nice chats and tasty delicacies! The homestay itself is nice and cozy! It's a whole house and feels more like a hut! We spent lots of time on the "balcony" and the hammocks were super comfortable! The kitchen and the bathroom are super basic but adequate! There is a mosque quite close so getting a pair of earplugs is a must for an uninterrupted night's sleep. Whales & Waves is truly a wonderful place to stay in beautiful Sumbawa. We loved everything- the huge yard, the outdoor community space where we met a lot of cool people, had our meals, played with their two labradors etc. The place is really kid friendly- a lot a children were playing around, skateboarding and having fun. The rooms were also good. We rented kayaks and went snorkeling to the nearby island. The food was great, we recommend trying the Mie Goreng with beef! The local surf spot is 5 minutes away by motorbike which could also be rented at the resort. We were there for just 5 days but next time we’re staying more. :)

Omg what a place! The cosiest bungalow right by the beach, like literally by the beach, so lovely and homely. On one side you have the sea view, on the other the palm grove. Check out the colours of the sea and the sky during golden hour. Great value for money and Toni takes such good care of you. Slept with the consistent swell of the waves in the background.

Fantastic location right on the beach. The bed was so comfortable and the owner was very helpful. Lots of water provided during the stay. Nice Warung just along the road and local village about 2km away. We were only people staying so it was very serene.
