DenmarkUnbelievable, I think is the only word that can describe the experience of staying at “Sanda Plantation Hideaway”.
An experience that beats any other hotel/cabin/place that we have stayed at. It gives an incredible peace and quiet, to fall asleep to the rippling of the river, the sound of wild chickens and cicadas. "Less is more" characterizes the place, and yet the quality of the individual things, like the shower, expresso machine and food levels above anything else we have tried. If you are interested in craftsmanship class, right down to the smallest details, then the place is worth a visit, just for that reason.
The view from the terrace is amazing and everyone you meet on walks in the area is very welcoming, friendly, and at least as genuinely interested in you as you are in them. We are far, far away from the tourists' normal visiting areas.
The couple Mega and Toine are incredibly friendly, hospitable and welcoming. At times, you feel treated more like friends than paying guests.
The food is a chapter unto itself, made from local organic ingredients, which are catered for.
If you like nature, authenticity and simplicity, book at least 2 nights. If you're more into beach parties, tourist shops and sleeping in to the sound of rumbling trucks, find somewhere else.
