The breakfast was good. We had something different everyday. The room was comfortable and clean. We liked the quietness of the room and the area so we could get a good night sleep after a day of walking. Margaret and her husband were very helpful with any questions that we asked.

This is a lovely stately period hotel. It currently undergoing refurbishment but any disruption was minimal. It looks out over the River Lee and is very peaceful. Our room was spacious and nicely furnished with a river view. Parking was free and easy to access. The Restaurant meals were of a very high standard. The included self service continental breakfast was generous but we also ordered additional cooked breakfast from the menu. Nice choices. All the staff were very helpful and professional. Highly recommend.

The room was good. The prices are way too expensive. Some dishes in the restaurant were excellent, others not so. I had a steak which was so heavily salted I could not eat it. I drew their attention to it and was offered a free dessert!!! Hardly an adequate response.

Baltimore harbour was beautiful and wild during the storm when we arrived. The next day all was calm and sunny, so we enjoyed the village and it's very nice restaurants. The vegetarian pizza + fresh fish and chips in Jacobs was delicious. So was the burgers in the Algier Inn. There is even a 2 Michelin Star restaurant if you are foodie We hope to come back during the summer to go whale watching and explore Cape Clear.

We stayed one night basically to stay at a place away from a city and nearer the sea. Quaint town, but did not have time for excursions…ate dinner at a nice restaurant out of town a short way from Rathmore House recommended by the house owner, called An Siben.

Absolutely fabulous location. Just steps from the bars and restaurants and the gorgeous harbour of Baltimore. The property however was charming, spacious and a perfect cottage for a stay in Baltimore. All the facilities were spotless and the hosts were exceptional with Liam and Margaret bringing chocolates and biscuits when we arrived. Can’t recommend it enough. Gorgeous 🥰

Location was perfect with a short walking distance to Baltimore pier. The gardens at Rolfs are beautiful and are a lovely space to relax while having a glass of wine. Owners are very friendly with a welcoming glass of wine a very nice touch. Good choice of lunch options and the breakfast was perfectly cooked.
