Great buzz in the town. We visited Clonakilty black pudding factory. We enjoyed the tour. Pauline looked after us very well . She is friendly & informative. We enjoyed the tea & breakfast food. Lovely town with shops and pubs lining the street - very walkable from the guesthouse . People are friendly which made my stay even nicer. Clonakilty was recommended to us by a friend as she had visited with family on a holiday. Loved this little seaside town, which had plenty to offer in the way of things to see and do. We could easily have spent a few days here happily, relaxing or looking for a bit to get out and do. I feel that as travellers on an international trip, it gave us a great opportunity to experience what I saw as the real Ireland - a true little town which held such history and a passion for its people. I was there to attend a wedding. I did not take a car so I did not see much of Clonakilty itself. I think a car is necessary as it is just outside Clonakilty. I did see the sea and beaches from the taxi and they looked nice.Guest review byFrancesIreland - 10.0

Great town with lots of pride and several fun cultural experiences. The Clonakilty Black Pudding Visitors Center was great. The Clonakilty Distillery is a great tour and tasting experience. Fab little town, everything is so close together. Really wished we'd stayed longer & are already planning a return in the Summer. Didn't eat in any of the restaurants as we only ate in the hotel but the menus of many of the eateries looked great!Guest review byLouiseIreland

West Cork Escapes proved to be a great location close to Clonakilty Village, a beautiful house with plenty of room, very comfortable beds, modern and spacious house, and a beautiful view. The best accommodation in the area by a long stretch. Kathleen and Jim are exemplary hosts. I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone who is coming here on holiday. Sarah-Jane left a brilliant welcome basket with plenty of food for breakfasts. It was super clean with a brilliant comfortable bed and a lovely outdoor area where we had breakfast each morning. It was about a 15 walk into Clonakilty. However this is exactly what we were looking for as it has a country feel, yet is on the edge of town. I would highly respect this hotel to all. The most important thing for me was having my dog withe. Together we enjoyed the beautiful beaches and lighthouses.
