We had a lovely stay at castlehouse b&b ! The authenticity of the place is refreshing as well as the kindness of the host, John, who gave us many helpful advice on local places. We strongly recommend it to anyone looking to have a nice and authentic stay in Connemara ! And big plus for the really nice view from the bedroom on the countryside and sea !

Rosleague is a 19th Century manor experience situated in the best part of Connemara. It offers all the touches of a historic manor -- sitting rooms, full dining room, generous bedroom, gardens plus updated furnishings like good Wifi and a generous tub. The breakfast is made to your specifications but also includes the usuals, pastries, yogurt, cereal choices, as you sit overlooking the garden in morning light. They also offer a fancy set of dinner choices. The staff are highly trained and offer impeccable service. It's not cheap to put yourself into "the manor born." But it's not all that pricy either for a few days. I found it totally worth it.

    Renvyle is a really nice place to stay, with space to take time on-premises, but also in the heart of Connemara from which to explore the beaches, towns and countryside. The staff are very helpful and the hotel provides good food in both the pub and restaurant.

    I had a wonderful, if too short, stay.

    I had a wonderful, if too short, stay. I used the outdoor pool and the hot tubs. Had a five star dinner with wonderful service. The staff are all amazing. An amazing nights sleep on the most comfortable beds. Delicious breakfast with so much choice and then it was off home for us :)

    Great location, stunning scenery and routes for hiking and cycling. Ate out at Paddy Coyne’s - excellent food and service. Easy access to Connemara National Park, Kylemore Abbey and only 20 minutes drive to get ferry to Inisboffin.

    We enjoyed a 2 night stay in Renvyle House for my husband's 60th birthday..From the moment we arrived we felt relaxed and comfortable in the beautiful surroundings despite the rain showers.We enjoyed the delicious 5 course meal on the first night and the staff were so nice,they even sang Happy Birthday and presented a small cake with a candle to my hubby..The second night we had the bar menu and that was also delicious.We will be back again for sure,thank you Renvyle House staff.

    This village is too remote with no cafes/restaurants or taxi service. It used to have cafe and taxis but not any more. It has a good petrol station and shop. We travelled to Letterfrack/Clifden/Roundstone and Cleggan beaches incredible food lovely would definitely stay in 1 of these villages in future.

    Very quiet and peaceful area. Hiking is spectacular . Easy to drive around the area , roads are narrow and drive on the left , but the country roads are quiet , more sheep than anything on them ! And always give way to sheep :) Everyone was friendly and helpful . Loved this beautiful area and exploring Connemara National Park.

    We had a lovely stay, the apartment was new, clean, well furnished, and the position was spot on if you want to explore the Connemara by car. The view is beautiful, and the apartment is situated in a small village that has some pubs where you can eat, and everyone in very kind and helpful. If you are looking to enjoy some true time in Ireland, where the nature is Breathtaking, the people are genuine and you are far away from the big cities and the heavy tourism this is the right place for you. I'm really looking forward to come back!

    Excellent stay! The value for money of the property is really good! The owner, John, is extremely welcoming and very interesting to talk to. The breakfast room has a lovely view and the B&B is located in one of the most beautiful places of Connemara.
