The service was excellent, especially the lady who helped with the check in. She was extremely helpful and very pleasant. She explained everything that we needed to know about our stay and gave us some very helpful advice about the area and the places we intended to visit.

Super nice and tidy accomodation with a gorgous view. The place is small but cosy and everything you need is there. All appliences and furniture are clearly very new and in spotless condition. It is a great location to start a hike towards the Moher Cliffs or to discover the cute little town of Doolin. Big recommendation. Wish I could have stays longer.

Friendly, fun lots to do in a beautiful area.

Friendly, fun lots to do in a beautiful area. In two days we visited the Burren Smokehouse, went on the Doolin Ferry to see the Cliffs of Moher and Harry Potter's Cave, we visited Doolin Cave (a highlight), we played pitch and putt - twice, we listened to traditional Irish music in McGanns which had a great food and really fun atmosphere and fab staff. We had a drink at Gus O'Connors (again very friendly and fun) and lovely fish and chips at Russell's Fish Bar. We made a quick visit to Lahinch and the beach on the easy return trip to Shannon Airport.

Beautiful little town. Close to everything you want to see. If you take a ride to Connor’s Pass stop and purchase something from a man that has a little craft table set up with rocks he paints with Connor’s pass and Ireland on them.

Dooling is a nice "base" for exploring the region. Of course the caves are nice but Aran Islands are boat ride away. Same for the Cliffs of Moher. The Burren has some nice spots and is great for several hiking paths. Dooling town has some nice eating places but we asked our host for his opinion.

I went to Doolin a few times and I was very disappointed as they closed the path from the museum to Liscannor and the path from the museum to Doolin. So you basically have a small area to walk and obviously it is crowded during summer season, it is like a highway of people. At least before we could walk a bit more and avoid the crowd, sit in the grass, I used to go sit near o'brien tower and as I am not stupid, I did not risk going to close to the cliffs as I dont want to fall and die. But now it is not as enjoyable. Moreover, the paths are closed but they make you pay 15euros per person for the car park because they include the museum but we didn't want to visit the museum. We used to pay the car park for the day just for the car not per person and if we wanted to visit the museum, we would pay the tickets. Really the place has changed and not in a good way. I love the tour boats though (as usual), and the restaurants/pubs are more than fine

I wanted to see the Cliffs of Moher, Doolin was recommended as a lovely town to visit. However, I had booked a tour to the cliffs from Galway. It was a small town & didn't really offer much. I would've preferred to stay longer in either Killarney or Galway rather than stay here.

People are so nice from reception to the lovely breakfast room staff. Our Children loved the Lodge and enjoyed running into the breakfast room in the mornings. Location is amazing, so close to the amazing O'Connor's pub and restaurant, you will not find a better pub in Ireland, perfection, Food, atmosphere, great Irish music and the staff treat you like family. The hotel was beautifully located on a picturesque meadow with spectacular views. The history of the hotel as well as the castle was like stepping back in time. The restaurant delivered the best meal of our entire stay The room was beautiful and comfortable although unseasonably warm. Screens on the windows would be welcome other than that this hotel is a hidden gem of fabulous luxury in a stunning g country!
