We wanted to stay near Rathdowney as we did research at the library regarding ancestors. We booked at the Ashbrook Arms in Durrow. WHAT A WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE. The Ashbrook Arms is absolutely lovely. The property had been a carriage house in the last century. Beautifully restored, and the owners are kind and helpful. We enjoyed an evening at Bob's Pub across the street. Enjoyed the locals dancing and singing. The town is beautiful and walkable. The Durrow Castle and the local parks are a must see. Durrow is a memorable part of our tour of IRELAND.Guest review bymaureenUnited States - 10.0
Very warm welcome...host couldn't do enough for us.
Very warm welcome...host couldn't do enough for us. We were caught in a storm and travelling on motorbikes so stayed an extra night. Host offered to run us to town for a meal. Lovely comfy beds & a nice warm room. Shared facilities but very clean and tidy. Had a lovely , tasty breakfast .Guest review byJones - 10.0

Durrow is a lovely town , with an excellent atmosphere. Good pub, a very popular cafe. The Chinese takeaway was very good, well priced. A super market with friendly staff and atmosphere. A park in the square, lovely to sit in. Durrow Castle.Guest review byBarbaraAustralia
